Love this Thai/Chinese restaurant! Intimate little place, classy, affordable. I like that they have Chinese food for my son too. The service is friendly. I thought the food was excellent. We had soup, appetizers and dinner for 3 around $50. Soup was amazing, curry dishes yummy. Authentic Thai - Loved it! Going back this weekend. The only downside I can see is that it's popular so it gets crowded and it's a tiny place, but it's worth it for the meal in my opinion.
Diho Siam isn't just one of my favorite Thai restaurants, it's one of my favorite restaurants ever. I eat here about once a week. I usually get the Yellow Curry Chicken, which is amazing, but their Satay is also to die for, my boyfriend is a picky eater and LOVES it, and the Pad Se Lew is another one of my favorites. Honestly you can't go wrong. I take friends all the time but usually I order take out. It's still amazing at home. The staff is so friendly, they remember your name and order if you go in a lot. Amazing place.
My mother and I visited Diho Siam for dinner yesterday and the food, service and ambience were excellent. The restaurant is small, clean and has some nice pictures on the wall. We were attended to very promptly and the waitress brought the food to our table in a very reasonable amount of time. I had the green chicken curry with rice and my mom had the pad thai. The curry was a saucy mixture of coconut, curry and had just enough chili bite to it to make it a perfect topping over rice. The pad thai could have been a little more crunchy through the use of uncooked bean sprouts to counter the limp texture of the cooked noodle, and maybe a slight sprinkling of mint would have been nice, but the taste was peanuty and slightly sweet the way I am used to enjoying it. Price for two dinners with the value coupon of 50% off of 2nd dinner item came to around $24 and that was with the large thai iced tea that I ordered. So for all you folks living in the hills of Mission Viejo looking for a weekend reprieve from micro-cooked dinner, this is definitely a good alternative.
Visited on May 21, 2008,and waited for 15 minutes with no
service. We arrived before four couples, and were not
asked for even water!
This is a restaurant who's time has passed, go the
the new one in Ladera Ranch..much better!
This is my favorite Thai restaurant, and I've been to maybe 12 or so different Thai restaurants from LA to San Diego and even some out of state. This used to be a hole-in-the-wall, but the recently redecorated and repainted and now it looks great, to match the incredible food. The green curry is our favorite, though the red curry and yellow curries are also excellent. I forget the exact name, but we also love the Thai Basil and Peppers dish. Can't wait to visit again!
This is a very small quant restaurant with resonable prices. The food is delicious and the atmosphere pleasant. Easy to have conversation with fellow diners. The service could be improved. Waitress not very attentive, did not follow up to see if we needed anything. Did not ask if we wanted anything to drink before taking order or at anytime for that matter. I would still go back, because I like the food. But if I find another Thai restaurant that has as good a food at a resonable price, I would probably switch due to the service.
