Rib Trader, San Clemente

Rib Trader is an excellent place for baby back ribs. I couldn't tell you about about anything else on the menu because the ribs are sooo good. They serve great cornbread too.

Rib Trader is a great local little restaurant ran by a local surfer businessman that we have known for years (Rick Skillman). This place has great ribs and good food. Atmosphere is Hawaii surf theme and many of the locals frequent the place. We love this place and go here once a month at least. There is also a cool little tropical feel bar on the other side where you might find more of the old surfers in there. Cool spot! I recommend!

I have lived in San Clemente for many years and finally tried the Rib Trader in August of 2004. The food was mediocre, the price was high and the service was as slow as any I have ever had in my life! Seriously, it took FOREVER and the waitress seemed to think that was nothing to apologize for. I won't go back!
