We ate at BJ's Pizza near the Balboa Pier at Newport Beach on July 31. The mozerella sticks and the deep dish pizza were good. The service was average. The restaurant itself was bigger on the inside than it looks outside. We liked the fact that it was a very short walk from our spot on the beach to BJ's. Although we liked it, if we ever travel back to the area, we might try a different place just because we like to try new things each time we travel out of town.
Absolutely horrible pizza. BJ's claims to have Chicago-style pizza. Well, I do not even think they know where Chicago is. They serve pizza with less toppings than Pizza Hut. The beer is good, but the pizza is not worth the trouble to chew it.
