Tapas Restaurant and Nightclub Newport Beach, Newport Beach

Tapas has been good in the past when they have dance nights, but when I went there last times the bouncers were being jerks. I knew three people who got kicked out for absolutely no reason. I know that they didn't do anything to get kicked out for because I watched it go down. Plus the music they were playing was mediocre at best. I'll find another place to go from now on.

A Friday night experience at Tapas Newport Beach with a friend turned out to be again the most disappointed of the night. I had the bad experience before but I l discarded as an honest mistake. But the sencond time is not a coincidence. The atmosphere was good, the show and the salsa teaching were entertaining, and the food, I don't even remember. However, tonite for the 2nd time my credit card has been overcharged. Lucky for me that even with a glass of wine I managed to tally up my bill and noticed the huge discrepancy in favor of the restaurant or the service personnel. It is a disgraced to know that the restaurant has not crack down on the thieves they have working as waitresses/waiterss. Yes, there were apologies but they were more like crap we got caught. This is not a one time thing, this has happened before. In order to avoid thieves in the night while I am enjoying my self with friends I decided never go back to Tapas or even recommended to anyone I know or come in contact with.

It is a very good place to meet people. RELAX, have good fun . And for all the looker VERY LOVELY LADIES TO SEE!

most ridiculous restaurant I have ever been.they have cover charge in Wednesday afternoon to go eat in that restaurant and bad service with 18% mandatory tip. very dirty looking place, fill like downtown tijuana and average food is around $20 plus 18% tip and cover charge at the door.

The experience of Tapas is SUBLIME. First of all, the food is great - paella is delicious, and the aioli superb. The flamenco entertainment makes you float into an entirely different world - exotic, ethereal, surreal. After dinner and flamenco is salsa dancing, which of course is FUN FUN FUN! I look forward to enjoying many more nights at Tapas.

This is great place for food and fun. They have dinner Flamenco shows every Friday and Saturday, with Salsa dancing after. I went with friends for a B-day party, and had the best time. I had never been, and was not expecting to place to be so busy. Food was excellant and the show was so different that anything else I've been to in OC. The Sangria is addicting!

This place is great, lots of fun. You meet all kinds of people that are there for dancing/socializing. The bartenders & bouncers are great! Overall, great experience.

The Friday evening show was very nice. Dancers in colorful outfits and a guitar player. Place was packed during the show. Food was ok, not great, but I can recommend one dish - the snapper, which was very good. Friendly servers. Show started at 8:10...not 7:30 as advertised...but it was fine. Service is good if you get there early, say around 7 p.m. After 8, it's pretty packed and the servers are busy.
