Los Patios, San Clemente

I went there on dollar taco Tuesday and asked what kind of red wine they had. The waiter said they only had Cabernet so I ordered one, then another later. We had a total of 5 tacos and 2 Lemonades and 2 glasses of wine and the total bill was $28.22!!! You do the math..5 tacos equal $5.00 so that means they charged me $23.22 for the drinks. Needless to say I was outraged!!! I go there for dollar tacos to save money eating out (as I'm sure most of the people that were there do too) not to be price raped by inflated wine and beverage prices. I spoke to the manager to let him know how I felt, that if they are going to charge $8.00 for a glass of wine they better have a wine list (which they don't). This place in no way can merit charging that much for a glass of wine as it is a VERY casual dinig place. I have been to several FINE DINING restaurants that don't even charge that much unless you are ordering a very special glass of wine. All he could do is try to justify the inflated price by telling me how much he paid for this wine, etc...THEN I find out they actually had 2 different kinds of cabernet and I wasn't even asked which one I would prefer!! He asked me what I thought he should do about it and I said I think he should first of all have a wine list with prices on it so people can choose whether or not they want to pay such an inflated price for their wine and second of all at least credit me for one glass. He refused and I told him fine, I will never come to your restaurant again. Then he had to the AUDACITY to tell me that he didn't care and didn't need my business! I don't know what you think but in this shaky economy, that's not a smart thing to say to a customer. What an IDIOT!! Does he not know that every time I have the opportunity that I will give his restaurant a bad reccommedation? One more thing to add...the chips are stale and the food has really gone downhill since I have been going there for about a year now. I will get off my soapbox for now, but just remember, if you go there ASK HOW MUCH THE WINE IS BEFORE YOU ORDER IT!! IT'S A TOTAL RIP-OFF!!!

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! first time my girl and i ever came by this place we were greeted promptly and told about the specials and the special margarita they have. Turns out this was the owner. Great service, authentic feel, GREAT FOOD, and great prices. if i could say great more i would. this place is A+++++ in my book. Being a local of san clemente i was suprised that i had never heard of it before. I am glad to say that i know of this place now and have been at least once a week since my first visit.

This place is a gemstone! Seriously, if you want good Mexican food at a great price with excellent customer service, then you need to visit this place. The owner works here daily. He will most likely be your waiter. He's a super nice guy who provides the BEST customer service I've ever seen in my 7 years of living in San Clemente. The food is always served in a timely manner, tastes great, and the customer service is priceless. What more could you ask for? Restaurant is clean, haven't seen any bugs or roaches here. The employees are all friendly and also provide good customer service. They have a fairly decent sized menu with so many things to choose from. You won't be disappointed.

We were in the area and found this hidden jewel in our Entertainment Book. It's a little hard to find BUT WELL WORTH IT. The San Clemente Flautas, crab and shrimp, are SPECTACULAR !!! We have eaten a lot of Mexican food and have never had anything like these. All of the food was very very good but these are worth the trip just to have again. The margaritas were wonderful and the service was top notch, very friendly and efficient. We will be back !

Great Fajitas and great service. Some of the best Fajitas I've had in Orange County. Good Margaritas also, but disappointed they couldn't make a cadillac one with Grand Marnier, oh well. Staff is really nice and a pleasent atmoshpere. Kind of hard to find - off of Palizada behind the Blue Danube restuarant. you should go there!

I started coming here about 3 months ago. These guys are great. They are very detail oriented when it comes to your order, they get everything correct, they are extremely polite and seat you right away, and their food is EXCELLENT! What more could you want when going out to eat? The place is also very eclectic and keeps it's old world Mexican charm. We go here at least once a week for the $1.00 enchiladas and it is just great! Best service I've ever had in Southern California! Keep up the good work Los Patios - we love you!
