Mario's Restaurant, Huntington Beach

This restaurant is not authentic Mexican. Greasy. Heartburn city. Try Las Barca on Beach instead

I like this place because of the tacos and Mario-rita, that drink is one that everyone NEEDS to try!! I always go for the chicken taco and my husbands a fan of the carnitas taco. We've tried MANY other restaraunts, mexi-marts and taco places and none have come close to perfecting the carnitas like Mario's does...Thanx guys!! However, the prices are not cheap. The price of the taco plate is ok...beans rice & 1 taco is around 7 bucks during the lunch "special", but if you order a taco a la carte, it's almost 5 bucks. So I guess it just depends on what your ordering, if its cheap or not.

The food at this place is great, but I stopped coming here because of the staff. Some of them behave as if they do not even want you there, and can not be bothered to ask you if you want refills, and then when you flag them down for a refill they act irritated. Also they advertise lunch specials on a white board, and when I attempted to order the special, they charged me full price for a slightly different dish than what I asked for and when I attempted to get it straightened out, I was stone walled and told that I was the one mistaken when it was the waitress who was responsible for the mistake. That shows me that they are not concerned with customer service because they have people coming in there all the time and could care less if a few people are dissatisfied with the service. That alone makes me mad, because their attitudes are lousy, and are in bad need of adjusting!

We are from Texas and Mario's is the closest we can get to our "Tex-Mex". Quiet atmosphere, good service and great food. One of our favorite family restaurants.

For good, old school Mexican food in HB, go to Mario's in 5 Points. They have great food, great service and lots to choose from. We hit Mario's about once a week.

The food was bland and totally American-ized, but inexpensive.

If you are in the "5 points shopping center" in HB, it is a convenient place to eat after shopping. Atmosphere kind of dull, chips and salsa not bad. Friendly staff just stick to the cheese enchaladas

There food is ok. The Restaurant is always crowdred. They have good chips and there drinks are good they always have buy one free coupons in most HB Papers.

Marios kicks ass! I eat there at least once a week and I'm never disappointed. The place is totally cheep and tastes better than anything else in town. The bar is relaxing and comfortable. The servers and bus boys do everything they can to make me happy. I love it at Marios.

Mario's is the best place in huntington beach to get mexican food. The food is extremely good and the service is friendly and fast. They have the best guacamole I've ever had.
