Why not start the day in a beautifully landscaped garden outside one of the oldest cottages in town? There are birds singing in the trees, dogs playing on the ground, and people enjoying bagels and coffee all day long. Lunch time is equally delightful. Recharge yourself with char-broiled Hawaiian ahi tuna, caesar salad with halibut, or smoked salmon bagel. Be sure to make a stop at the gift shop in the house. You can buy any decoration on the property!
I don't know how anyone could give this beautiful outdoor restaurant a bad review. We come all the way from Sherman Oaks and bring family and friends, especially from out-of-town as a special treat. The food is very, very good and different from what you find less expensively. The menu has something for everyone and the portions are larger than usual. The owner Jon greets everyone which is great. I love the atmosphere and the art which makes this garden so special. Amazingly we found it accidentally! Lucky find!

Way overrated! The pricing is high, coffee stinks and the food is nothing special. There is only outdoor seating where the obnoxious owner has placed you amongst all of merchandise that he is selling, there are literally tags on this stuff -really tacky. If you want to pay $45 for a mediocre breakfast to view all of his merchandise he is trying to sell you, go ahead, waste your money.
The only thing good about this place is its location! I had breakfast there and it was a waste of money, I ordered a simple bagel and pancakes, the bagel was barely edible but the pancakes smelled of eggs! I wouldn't recommend it at all!
This little out of the way oasis feels like balm to the scattered and rushed soul. It's not posh, pretentious or high end, but somehow I feel special when dining and just sitting in the garden. The food is delicious, the ambience-the best of any cafe I can recall (since it's all outside), and the feeling of sustenence isn't limited to the body, but somehow I feel rejuvenated from the inside out after visiting. And to make things even better-it invites dogs to dine with their families and friends. The garden is filled with interesting and rather funky garden-art, the trees form a wonderful canopy and because I serve myself, I am left to myself and can breathe in the enjoyment as long as I desire. I drive almost an hour to get here and it's worth the effort. Check in for their hours though-it's usually a breakfast and luncheon treat except extendPlease join me for a refreshing glass of tea, will you?
