Stand Natural Food Restaurant, Laguna Beach

The Stand is where Lagunans have been hanging out for decades. As the name says, this funky vegan place is not quite a diner, just a food stand with a few tables on the patio. Interestingly enough, this structure was once used as a produce and meat market. The staff is so friendly that they don't seem to be "working." Date shakes are everyone's favorite. Anything with guacamole is excellent. The soup is a must - any kind - and the enjoyment starts from sampling! Contrary to its popularity, the prices are on the low side, and despite the vegan title, nothing they serve is out of the ordinary. Come here to experience Laguna culture is its authentic form.
