This is a great restaurant with a delicious menu of Cuban dishes in a Latin setting. The restaurant feels like a little cafe in Havana. This is a great little spot where the food is good and the atmosphere is friendly. Much of the clientele consists of professionals who work in the area. The menu features Nueva Latina fare (not simply Cuban) since it is also inspired by South American cooking. The tamales, spicy seafood dishes, and marinated pork are excellent. There is a full bar plus a pretty good wine list.
This is a GREAT place! The ambiance, decor, and food is terrific! Service is also great, which is a must if you are going to have to wait for a table! The patio is really nice especially when it's nice outside. It's a great place for a date or or date night! Oh yeah, the Sangria and fresh berry mojitos are off the charts!! I am actually going there again tonight!!
I haven't been to the one on Beach but the Bristol location is great. The only thing is I don't like is the wait (on the hard seats) but that's what you get I guess when you are at a great place with amazing food and good atmosphere. The patio is adorable. Try the Sangria when you're there! If you like authentic spanish food this cuban restaurant is the closest you'll get in the area. The empanadas are insane. Yum!
Pros: Great food, great lighting, warm welcome, great wine - remember to ask for the house special though - , great almost everything.
Cons: a lil too crowded and noisy for a Tuesday night === which is a good thing !!!
I thought the Ambiance was great. But the food was not great. It was ok. I was expecting more authentic cuban food. It not. We sat outside, it was cold but the heat laps work really well. I think my boyfriend got the wrong dish, but he's the type to not say anything and he ate it anyway. I don't think I would go back there again if I was looking to have a good cuban meal. but its a cute place for entertaining.
I have always liked Habana but NOT ANYMORE! I did like it enough to go there for my Birthday a few times. I have visited the restaurant about 7 times in the past few years or so. This is why I am SO Dissappointed! They changed their menu, the service has gone down hill, and the food is just not good anymore. Its like a different restaurant....maybe they changed ownership, I dont know!? Our Empanads (appetizer) was blan to say the least-and served cold! I ordered the flank steak cooked medium and it was incredibly tough and chewy (hard to eat). The Special of the night was the T-bone Steak which was served to my boyfriend cold and lacking flavor. The fried Yucca tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for years (chewy, cold, and gummy). The fastest we saw our server move was when we put our Credit Card on the table-he was right there to swiftly pick it up! Why was he ignoring us the rest of the night and not bringing us bread (like all the other tables had), not refilling our waters, not asking if we wanted to order more drinks, not asking if we liked our food, etc....... The best part of the night was my Mojito. I'm sad that Habanas is lacking the flair, service, and good food it once had......that said I will not ever eat there again. Its good to go for the drinks and atmosphere, but dont even look at the menu!
