My wife and I have been going to Ruth's Chris for the past 5 years. It is also where I proposed. The food is outstanding and the service is excellent. Ask for Carter as your server in Irvine. He is excellent.
Karen E. was our server. She is the best. Funny. (there is a waiting list for her to wait on you...we always ask for her). The steak was incredible. We asked her what she likes and she picked out everything. Knows her wine! We had the Bone In Ribeye...tasty!! The halibut is incredible. The BBQ shrimp...well, we could just drink the sauce.
You can request a booth and her and they will try to accomadate you. You might have to wait a few minutes but its worth it. Pricey...but well worth it.
Probably thee best filet mignon I've ever had. It is served on a plate of sizzling butter. Simply delicious. My fiance & I ordered two sides, but one would have been plenty to feed both of us. I recommend the asparagus. Bring plenty o' cash (or plastic) because it's quite pricey.....but worth it.
Everything on the menu is incredible. Everything is a le' cart. You have a bunch of cuts of steak to choose from, a bunch of types of potato dishes to choose from, and bunch of vegitable choices to choose from. The steaks range from $30-$40 for just the steak, then about $10 for a side dish like a baked potato. Most of the side dishes are big enough for two people to eat. So if it's just the two of you, just get one. The deserts are very good and the service is awesome. Make reservations. You will be treated like a millionare. Be prepared to spend about $120 for two.
The steak in this place is really good. The service is also excellent. The price is more expensive than usual, but the price matches the quality of the meal. I do recommend to make reservation, because the wait can be long. I did not order wine, but I will definitely try their selection at the next visit.
food was great service was so bad! the bus boy refilled our drinks, got us things we need the waitress to get but she was to busy with a group of guys and wine bottles. after that we just stopped going. service is most important to us.
