We opened our doors on January of 2000. It was a mother and her two daughters embarking on a journey with nothing assured other than our fondest hopes and dreams. We wanted to provide our customers with the same quality, authenticity, and freshness that Mom, her mother, and her mother
Always wanted to try Peruvian food. Saw the restaurant while driving down Alton and decided to stop in. We are so glad that we did! The service was good and the food even better. The ladies were more than willing to make suggestions and discuss the menu. When the owner/manager found out that it was our first time at their establishment she made it a point to make us feel welcome. At no point did we have to ask for refills or the bill. They were all so attentive! All of this while they handled the lunch crowd! Will definitely go back and take the family!
I could not agree more with Alina and the angry wife. The waitress they are talking about is just revolting. I often go there for lunch with co-workers, but boy, I need to make sure I take a guy with us in order to get proper attention. This waitress shows a little too much interest on the opposite sex, and total disregard for the female customers. Not to mention the clothes she wears, very revealing, I dont know if she does this to get good tips, but I sure dont tip for bad service!
She needs to get her own men!!! but not while at work!!!
Oh my gosh I totally agree with the angry lady’s review. I love the food at this place but the service sucks. Every time we go there for lunch we have to bring a guy with us in order to be served on time. During summer, the young server is practically naked and she loves to get very touchy-feely with all the men. Last time we went there for lunch it took forever for anyone to stop by our table, we never got asked if we wanted refills on our drinks and it took another 15 minutes to get our check. The young server was rude to the other employees and she kept giving us dirty looks. Too bad the only other Peruvian restaurant is all the way in Lake Forest otherwise we would not go back to this place.
The restaurant offers great food, but with the service I'm very disappointed, even disgusted, the waitress rubbed herself all over my husband, she even kind of ignored that he had a wife sitting next to him. We visited three times the restaurant so far. Unfortunately every time the same thing happened. When she took our order she ignored me (wife ) completely. Lady get your own men, husband, lover, or whatever you want to call it. Also please dress in some descent clothing without serving your boobs on a platter.
Better than it looks. As in service, food and patrons.
Wedged in an industrial park --- I don't think I would have found this place had it not been a POI (point of interest) on my GPS system. Starving, I had my options: Tummy Stuffer or peruvian food.
SO... I ordered the Saltado Pollo sin arroz. I asked for platanos instead, and was informed it would cost me a smidgen extra.
No problema as long as the maracuja (passion fruit) juice wasn't watery, I was fine with that.
The prices are okay --- eight bucks for lunch sans drink is a bit pricey --- but the food was filling.
My lunch came out looking like chicken chow mien without the noodles...
Like I said, my Saltado dish tasted better than it looked (it was basically stir fried chicken chunks with red onions and shredded cabbage) --- and I don't know if it was because I was starving. PLUS --- the GREEN SAUCE makes EVERYTHING better. Even the bread and butter.
Hey --- it was either this place, or a burger and fries at a place called TUMMY STUFFER.
