well i actually liked it, though everyone told me it would suck. It's a little expensive for teenagers though. Service was fair, food was good, etc etc.

Not Bad, Good Food, Big Portions, but Pricey
By Annie C, 12/20/06
I went to eat at Claim Jumper with my friend and her sister after we had watched the movies at around 9pm so the business had slowed down, but the host greeting us was extremely friendly as was our server. She was friendly and we were just happy that she seemed genuinely caring to see that we were having a good time and happy with the food. I ordered the Cashew Chicken Sandwich, which was delicious, but not so good if heated up the next day. The portions were huge, so I could only finish the fries (delicious!) and half of my sandwich. For my sandwich, the total came to about less that 10.00 dollars with tip, which was a little pricey for me. My friend on the other hand, ordered the Crab Cakes which was about 20 dollars, and she seemed to really enjoy it, although we both agreed for three cakes, it was expensive. You might as well order the appetizer version, but even that, is expensive as it's around twelve dollars. Her sister ordered the Meatball Calzone, which we all agreed was not worth the price or ordering, despite the large portions, it just wasn't appetizing and it was too greasy for her. Overall, the food wasn't bad, we liked the ambiance, it's a typical themed chain restaurant, but we liked the service, so I believe we'll be coming back.

A lot of food!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/25/06
Food is excellent, ambiance is great, value pretty good and service is also pretty good. Well, the amount of one single order is enough to feed 3 people. The plate is so big and full that it always reminds me of my mom, when she used to put a plate like that in front of the whole family. We're wondering why is the american population getting fatter and fatter these days? That's why!

No wonder America is fat
By Cheryl, 6/6/06
Good grief, I ordered a simple BBQ beef sandwich and was served a whole side of beef. The amount of waste that must occur at this place makes me queasy. I suppose if it is your desire to eat enough for a family of four in one sitting, this is the place for you.

The food is good and the service is very friendly. All servers handle a large amount of orders yet they remain calm and attentive. HUGE portions and an excellent place for Happy Hour..even if you do not drink alcohol!

Only for curiosity
By tryin2bnice, 10/27/05
The food was great, and the portions were big. However, at the price they charge, I could get a LOT more quality food from smaller joints. The service was so-so. The host dude ignored me and my party for ~3 minutes before acknowledging us--what gives?? Overall, I would say go try it on a birthday or something, just to know how Claim Jumper is like. But personally, I wouldn't go back there.
