Half Sandwich & Soup or Salad Lunch Special is quite a deal – your choice of a large bowl of soup or a small house, Caesar, or wedge salad with half a sandwich (Classic Turkey, BBQ Chicken, Roasted Turkey Cobb, Southwestern Chicken, Grilled Chicken Club, or California Chicken) and your choice of crispy-thin or wedge-cut seasoned fries. Today’s pick was a small house salad, Classic Turkey sandwich, and crispy-thin seasoned fries. The portion is just right to keep you fired up for the rest of your work day. Thumbs up with 5 stars! The Grilled Burger Melt is a hand-formed, half-pound 100% USDA Angus burger, grilled to order, topped with cheddar and Swiss cheeses, caramelized onions and special burger sauce on grilled sourdough bread and served with your choice of crispy-thin or wedge-cut seasoned fries. This burger melt is to-die-for. The burger is well seasoned and simply melts in your mouth. The gooey cheese and caramelized onions marry everything together. Don’t forget about the wedge-cut fries. These scrumptious potatoes are the best – crispy and seasoned just right on the outside and flakey and baked potato-like inside. Thumbs up with another 5 stars! Dessert after lunch? There’s always room for dessert when it’s BJ’s Famous Pizookie. They are freshly baked, hot out of the oven, rich, and delicious cookies topped with 3 scoops of vanilla bean ice cream and served in its own deep dish. Cookie choices include Chocolate Chunk, White Chocolate Macadamia Nut, Peanut Butter, or Oatmeal Raisin Walnut. You can even ask your server to make it half of 2 choices, in this case, half Chocolate Chunk and half Peanut Butter. The chocolate chunk reminds me of the Toll House chocolate chip bars my mom used to make; soft, warm, and right out of the oven. The peanut butter was unlike any peanut butter cookie I have ever had. It was divine and mixing it with a bite of chocolate chunk made it even better. When the ice cream starts to melt, it forms a vanilla sauce so you can sop it up with your every bite. This is a wonderful idea and falls under BJ’s WOW standard. Thumbs up with 5 stars!

Do not have the BBQ chicken pizza. I did last night and now I relegated to within running distance to a bathroom. The server, I think his ;name was Danny, was super ---could not have done a better job. I probably won't be going back though.

Nice place for lunch. Their half soup and half sandwich on the lunch menu is very good. New England clam chowder is very good with succulent clams. Try it next time you visit this restaurant.

I have to disagree with one of the reviewers on here about the Pizookie. It is a brilliant idea to add fatty chocolate chip cookie thats the size of a pizza with 5 kinds of fatty ice cream. The guy that invented it deserves mad props, and pregnant women all over love it! I have reviewed BJ's before, you can find my opinions about the food here: http://www.yelp.com/bi... As far as this particular location, I did notice that they have more lunch time specials then other locations. They also offer a 5 for 1 free lunch card as well. On a side note, some of the waitresses look great from behind in those tight black slacks. Needless to say, I tipped very generously when I am provided with a great view.

I have been to this BJs many time and have never had a problem with them. I asked for a small pizza, and they brought me a mini. Instead of taking the mini, they let me keep it AND they brought me the small, at no additional charge. Other than that, the food is always great and as ordered.

I love their BJ's wings but this BJ has horrible service. I ate there once and it was probably the worst experience I've ever had. We had no silverware or plates. We asked three different people for utensils but didn't get it until after our food was served. The expeditor didn't know what each plate was so he mixed up our order. In addition, we didn't get any refills even after we told a couple of the staff that we needed refills. No one came by our table to see if everything was okay. However, I like their food so the next time I decided to call in for a take out order (that way I wouldn't have to deal with what goes on in the restaurant). I was placed on hold for at least 15 minutes and then the guy who took my order didn't know the menu. They told me the order would be ready in 20 minutes, but it actually took 30 minutes. Horrible, horrible service. That's all I can say.

BJ's is our favorite casual restaurant. Unfortunately, this one is absolutely horrible. I sent my meal back twice, and they still did not get it right. They kept leaving the cheese and bacon off the BBQ chicken sandwich. They also put a quart of mayonaise on it. Avoid thie BJ's. It is worth the drive to go to the Laguna Hills BJ's.
