Lunches & dinners are excellent. The food is great. Me, the wife and kid can come here on 22 dollars and get filled. Cheap prices, a plate full of wonderful food that's full of flavor. Recommend..pork chop for breakfast with eggs mixed with chorizo and the home potatos. Lucnk: anything really! my faves are the carne asada tacos or the the club sandwich. Dinner: go with the steak. but, no matter what you order, it's going to be great. the staff is great too! I come here often and we love it.
Food was not great, but not bad either, I could have made this at home. The service IS lousy, took forever and a day to get a table, couldnt get a refill on my drink to save my life, had to beg to get chips and salsa brought to the table, they are far from orginized, very poorly managed. Not worth the time or money to eat there.
Love it!: My Mom has been going to this restaurant since, well, before it was Little Green Onion. She has a lot of memories here since her father's photography studio was 2 doors down. Everytime I go to this place, I'm very satisfied with the food and especially the prices! Today I had 2 french toast triangles, 2 eggs, and hash browns for $3.49! They have specials going on almost everytime of the day. It reminds me of a small town diner, which is refreshing considering the city I live in. I will definately return. If you're a vegetarian (like I am), stay away from the beans, they have lard in them. The chips and salsa are good too!
The Little Green Onion is the kind of restaurant that always comes first to your mind when deciding where to take the family for that special weekend dinner! Once visitors have arrived, the ambiance is filled with a spirit of Mexico, with decor of festive and exotic colors. The food is top of the list which may cause customers to wonder why such a small little mexican restaurant (also serves some american-style entrees) in a hidden corner in the Brockton Plaza. The waiters make the dining experience here even better with their warming, welcoming smiles - great for the whole family! The Little Green Onion is truly a little piece of Mexico right here in southern California!
