Back Street Restaurant, Riverside

I love going here! I’ve paid $8.50 for a sandwich, soda and a side of beans/potato salad. They even have a veggie bar that comes with the price, so at the end it's not a bad deal. You can eat inside, but I like eating outside the under trees and near the foutain.It's the perfect place to eat on a beautiful day.

Pastrami on rye bread is a great sandwich at the Back Street. The food there is always good and the setting very pleasant. Their prices are a tad high for a sandwich, but you cannot beat the quality.

This restaurant has the best sandwiches i have ever tasted.There not pricey at all.There basically as much money as other restaurant.There Banana cream pie is the best dessert I have ever eaten.

The Backstreet is the most wonderful lunch experiance I have had ,and it as been one for a good portion of my life.My grandfather went there for lunch and he always took a grip full of cut roses for the tables and Mack the owner loved it. I would like thank Mack his wife and there entire family,sons,daughters,all you work so hard to make the lunch experiance so good. And of course the banana cream pie is to die for. Had noticed this charming eatery during night-time walks. Just tried it last week. While the menu was quite simple, the sandwich was terrific! I LOVED the squaw bread. The meats are great quality and sliced just right. The condiments bar was a nice addition, with sandwich toppers, veggie sticks, pasta salad, and pickles (of course). And quite reasonably priced. The staff was very gracious and full of unpretentious smiles. The shaded patio dining was so full of charm and really comfortable. The fact that its outside helps you have more privacy of conversation, and the natural surroundings feel very peaceful. Really like this place!

I go here every so often. The place is good but I'm not sure if it's worth the price.

Best 'homemade' sandwich in town....: a secret garden atmosphere the friendliest in town serving you melt in your mouth delicious sandwiches salads and oh my gosh dessert!!! The sandwiches are of good size but the dessert; well you can just eat that for lunch and be very satisfied

I love Back Street! I really enjoy going in the evenings with my co-workers after work to listen to the music and eat their outstanidng Pastrami sandwich on Rye! The best ever!!! I highly recommend it. Nothing fancy, just great service, good food and music and especially comfortable on a summer evening! _KR I

My first experience with Back Street was from a friend who ordered party trays for my son’s baby shower. My son will be 21 in October. That is 21 years of sure delight. If you have not tried Back Street you are surely missing one of the best sandwiches you will ever have the pleasure of eating. Oh did I forget to mention the unforgettable deserts. I also have my daughter hooked on their sandwiches. Now that they are open in evening during the summer she wants me stop on my way home. I try to save half of my sandwich for later but it never works. The service is the best.

Back Street has greeat food and the best people working there. I have been enjoying their food for at least five years. The food has always been great and never a wrong order. It is a delight and would reccamend it to anyone... and I have. Eat the chocolate cake-- its out of this world!!!
