This place is enormous, lots of paintings and books on the wall, nice ambiance. They also have pretty good food and drinks. But when it comes to service they fall flat on their face. They'll kick you out if you don't happen to be sipping a drink, and the owners are very irritable.
Back to the Grind is definitely my favourite coffee house, located in the heart of downtown it is definitely a great place to meet interesting people or just have great coffee in Riverside. If your a regular customer you definitely will find a crowd to sit and share fun stories with and just have a good time with. The coffee is always great here. I have yet to order something I didn't like and have been going there for a couple of years now. The atmosphere is informal so don't expect the staff to be at your beck and call, this is not a Starbucks, it's one of Riversides own, and they have known most of their customers for years. Often times the owner is working the register and making coffee drinks for the customer, just go up and say hi, if you're friendly you'll fit right in! They sometimes have local bands playing in the basement, and also have small art exhibitions throughout the year.
