As a Wedding Caterer: TJ was the person who assisted us with the process. He was always on top of it, returned phone calls, addressed all issues/questions, and was very courteous and interested in all of the details of our wedding. The food was so magnificent! We had beef wellington, sausage stuffed pork, chicken pasta, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, breads, salad bar, mini mushroom wellingtons, and salmon mousse endive. All of our guests were very impressed with the food! The price is per person and includes tax, gratuity, water, coffee, tea, and awesome service. They were worth EVERY penny. I'd reccommend them as a caterer to any event! I only gave The Farm 4 stars, because of the rehearsal dinner that we had at the restaurant: Our party arrived about 20 minutes early. My in-laws got to the restaurant first, a lady at The Farm said that we were too early. There was some sort of misunderstanding with my in-laws and the lady who greeted them, so the 16 of us stood outside waiting to be seated. It just seemed as if they were really unprepared to greet us. Well, a different girl finally came and got us to be seated. She was really cool, but I think our moods just went downhill. Oh yea, most of us ordered steak... and wow, that really took forever. I understand that it takes a long time to cook like... 12 steaks, but wow. We were just starving. For the price and level of service that we received... oh wow. We should've gone somewhere else. Otherwise, they are an awesome caterer!!

Fresh Food and Chic Atmosphere

My husband and I visited Farm for the first time this evening. As vegetarians, we found that they were very accomodating to our needs. My husband enjoyed his purple potato salad (although it was a bit lacking in flavor) and I had the rissoto cake with stuffed zucchini blossoms for an appetizer. Between the to, the stuffed zucchini blossom plate was 10x more flavorful and sastifying. For the main entre, my husband had the harvest vegetable basket which featured many freshly roasted vegetables and lentils arranged around a pastry basket. I had the vegetarian fettuchini, which was good, but I was not sastified with the quality of the pasta. The pasta stuck together in big globs. I've never had that problem at a resturat before! For desert I had the creme brulee, which was delicious. My husband had the cheesecake, and although it was delicious, the portion was tiny. Overall, we had great service and a good time. However, having been to other fine resturants in the area, we felt that Farm was a bit overpriced. Don't get us wrong, we will got back, but we'll be more prepared as to what to expect next time!

10/11/07 I had stopped by with my wife to meet Roberto the Chef and had a wonderful lunch. The salad was very flavorful and fresh, our entrée was delicious and plentiful and the desert was fantastic. The restaurant ambiance was perfect, I was greeted by our waitress, the Chef came out and spoke with us and the linen on the table was crisp and clean. Great place for people to sit down and have a great meal and forget about the world for awhile.

The food was a bit of a let down. I had the duck. It was sliced way too thick and was incredibly tough. Also the bathroom wasn't very clean.

what i enjoyed eating here so far on two separate occasions: mushrooms with warm polenta and brie, natural roasted chicken, certified angus shoulder steak, local berry crumble, and flourless chocolate cake with ganache. also the bread here is one of the best i've ever tasted. i like that they incorporate locally grown foods. the food is prepared with depth to flavor and taste. i enjoyed my experience here and it's one of my favorite downtown redlands restaurants now.

Artsy food :D

Farm in Redlands is a great place to enjoy a creatively prepared meal. The seating outdoors makes for a relaxed ambiance when coupled with the soft jazz playing in the background. The service is laid-back and unpretentious and yet servers are prompt to your every need. The food combinations are unique and creative which translates into lots of flavor in every bite. Some might consider a place like Farm to be a bit pricey, but I can assure you it is worth the price of admission.

I wanted to like The Farm, it is the type of restaurant I usually fall for. But, after eating there, I was generally disappointed. The Bad: We got a couple baskets of foccia bread while we were waiting for our food, and pieces in both baskets were partially frozen. This seems a bit strange, even the Olive Garden can manage to bring fully cooked bread to the table. I ordered a mushroom pasta dish because, well, I love mushrooms and pasta. It was inedibly salty. The Good: My wife's pasta dish was fairly good, and I got a butternut squash soup that was wonderful. But it was dessert that brought the restaurant back from the brink of badness. The Farm has wonderful, reasonably priced, dessert and dessert-wine combos. Our desserts were excellent enough that we're likely to go back just for that. The Rest: Because neither my wife nor I enjoys the confrontation that comes along with sending a dish back we don't know how they would have handled our complaining about the frozen bread and inedible salty pasta. Perhaps they would have been great about it. The other, less tangible complaint I have about The Farm is that it felt snotty. It's a personal thing, but the wait staff seemed to have the attitude that they were doing us a favor. But that could have been just a bad night. The Conclusion: I was disappointed in The Farm Artisan Foods, but because it's the type of place I want to like I'll give it another chance. The desserts were wonderful and with a few small changes the rest of the meal could have followed suit.
