My son and I went to Carrow's the other morning for breakfast. We had the eggs, pancakes, and bacon special for $3.99 each. My 9 year old, a very picky eater at home, cleaned his plate. He left full. That alone made the visit worthwhile for me. The pancakes were good. The server was pleasant. I actually left a tip. Why not, the food was cheap enough! Only 2 small thin strips of bacon, but how much bacon should a person really press in their gut? We as a society have grown accustom to eating way too much, and so I feel the amount of food is what it should be. I probably should give it a higher star rating, but I am very picky about eating out. The only thing I can say negative is my general feel for the cleanliness. It could be me, or the neighborhood, but I just feel the seats need a good disinfectant, not just a wet sponge or rag that holds and spreads millions of bacteria around.
I would recommend this place if you are hungry, in a hurry, want to eat cheap, and remember to ask for lemons to better clean and disinfect your utensils. Better yet, bring your own.
