Papa Dan's Pizza & Pasta, Palm Desert

When we drive down to the Palm Springs area we never leave without stopping at Papa Dan's Pizza. They have the best pizza I have ever tasted. You can pick your own toppings. They have the best service also. The first time we had their pizza, it was delivered to our hotel. The desk clerk had referred them to us. We have been going there ever since. We drive a hour and 15 minutes to eat their pizza. Our waiter was Addison and he is great.

Sorry about the fella who had a bad experience but I have been ordering delivered pizza's from Papa Dan's for years and have had nothing but excellent food and service. Keep up the great work!

I will not ever go to ANY Papa Dan's again. I work at a very large hotel, I will never recommend this place to any of my guests EVER! I called and asked about the Manicotti dish, asked how many shells are in the dish. I was told about 8-9 shells. This is what lead me to buy this dish. (There were only 4 shells) I then asked if garlic bread comes with the dish. Yes, it does.(The bread was plain.) However, when the food arrived, the server that delivered it was very rude. Did not once say hello, nor did he ever look at me. He did not even thank me for the tip that I gave him.

I have gone to this restaurant for years, and recently returned on 4/30/09 for lunch. I was so disappointed. I ordered the lunch/pizza special--- felt the pizza had been warmed up 2 or 3 times before serving. My friend had linguini with clam sauce and said it was so so. He had to request bread to go with his meal. Something has slipped in this facility.

Love it. The food is great. I tried a lot of it–the pizza salds, cheesebread, pasta dishes. Never had a bad meal. The staff is friendly and attentive. I try to go there every time I visit the desert. I recommend it to my friends when they go to the desert. They have given me positive feedback and thanked me for telling them about Papa Dan's in La Quinta.

Best pizza in town by far and excellent service. Highly recomend this locally owned place its the best
