Citron at the Viceroy Palm Springs, Palm Springs

the viceroy was a wonderful experience.clean,clean clean!!!the food was wonderful.the pool beautiful,service by the pool the best.i love this place pricey but worth it.

33+ people were infected/poisoned by something at The Viceroy Palm Springs this past weekend and the hotel refuses to compensate us in any way for ruining our stay. Most of us were there for a wedding. The bride and groom both got ill. The maid-of-honor didn't even make the dinner, and the best man had to leave after his toast because he was violently ill. They charged the maid-of-honor $100 to clean her bathroom after they caused her to miss her best friends wedding. Stay classy, Viceroy. Other things: all ice machines were nonfunctioning, the pool waiter was slow and surly. The gym is teeny. I would recommend none of you ever stay here. Go to the Parker Meridien if you're in Palm Springs. Please let everyone you care about know this.

My partner, our best friends, and I enjoyed a great visit to the Viceroy Palm Springs this past weekend. The staff was extremely friendly and they went out of their way to take care of our needs and many requests. We loved the narrow courtyard pathways and the intimate pools (they have three of them, one dedicated to kids, and one is adults only) and fountain courtyards. The beds in the rooms were outrageously comfortable and the bathroom amenities are out of this world. The hotel is within easy walking distance of downtown Palm Springs but trust me you will not want to leave the secluded enclave. My friend and I had fantastic massages at the Estrella Spa and ate most of our meals at the Citron restaurant, we even had the Chef prepare a special meal for us one night!. We have visited Palm Springs and vicinity many times and have tried the new fashy hotels, but this was our best stay. For anyone looking for understated, intimate luxury, the Viceroy is a great choice.

My husband and I just got back from a weekend at this hotel and we were VERY disappointed!! The room was priced at 400$/night and was NOT worth it! It was the most overpriced room that I have ever stayed in! Don't be fooled by the pictures on the website. The room had a very musty and unclean smell. The bathroom looked very old and the shower curtain had stains on it. It was very noisy as well. We have stayed in the Viceroy Santa Monica, and this hotel is not in the same league, they should not use the same name! The spa was nice, but you don't have to stay at the hotel to enjoy the spa. I don't at all agree with the comment that this is not a gay friendly hotel, it most certainly was. I am wondering if the quality of this hotel has gone down over past few years, as I do not see how it is possible to give this hotel a positive review in its current state. To sum up, save your money. Do not stay here!!

Just returned from a stay at the Viceroy - how many ways can I say this - GO TO THE VICEROY!! Beautiful property, laid back old school vibe, no little children running around screaming, great food and cocktail service by the pool, bottles filled with sunscreen and aloe sitting by the pool in the shade for you to help yourself - this place is the bomb! My husband and i originally went for three days on one of their fabulous mid-week specials, only to extend our trip two more days until we HAD to leave because GQ was buying out the property for a big meeting. We travel a great deal and are also big fans of the Santa Monica property. We are looking forward to trying Riviera Maya next and of course...returning to our new home away from home..Viceroy Palm Springs.

The service was excellent, the personel were very accomadating. It was August when we were there and the air conditioning and the pools were great! The parking is done by valet, there were a few parking spaces near there on the street which we used when we would be leaving again shortly. I went there with my husband and 23 year old and also a good friend of mine. We stayed one night and till later in the day, the 3:00 check out time was a positive thing for us, giving us more time to enjoy the pool. Due my my friend and I's inability to climb stairs we were given a downstairs room behind the pool area. There was a few steps we had to climb to get there but there was a handrail and they were easily managed by us. We had two queen size beds and they were extremely comfortable with luxury linens and pillows. We would definitely go back there again, couldn't find anything better for the money.

I live in Palm Springs but go to the hotel all the time. The restaurant is great and so is the spa. They have a very fun Sunday pool party. It is my number one recommendation for out of town visitors, and locals alike.

I am so dissatisfied that this hotel is not GAY friendly. They are in the heart of Palm Springs. The gay clientel is a large part of this community. It is shameful that any business would not be accepting of this lifestyle. I am a hetrosexual woman!
