My wife and I've never been to the Big Bear film festival that we didn't eat breakfast at Boo Bear. Outside, under the trees, watching the people and motorcycle groups rumble by. This year won't be any different. I hate snotty servers. Another reason we go to Boo Bear. No snot. Being involved in the festival, we've never had a Boo Bear dinner, but have lunch. Again, no gripes. Concerning the fish comment from another diner - if you want fish (only God knows why anyone would) go to a fish house, but for burgers and fries - bacon, eggs and hashbrowns, Boo Bear's your place.
Terrible experience. Took us 1hour 30 minutes to get food - Bratello - Today
We went here for lunch/dinner. It took 1hour exactly for kids to get simple hot dogs after asking waitress 3 times to rush hot dogs ASAP. Our food took 1,5 hours. My trout was very fishy and I've had trout in lots of places. Friends Mahi tasted like nothing. The BBQ ribs were pretty good and so was chicken OK. Salad bar is Horrific, like its been there 3 days. Waitress kept forgetting what drinks our kids and us ordered. Life music they played was pretty bad. You would have to down a few stiff ones to NOT care.
Food was excellent. This restaraunt is in the heart of the village and you can choose to sit inside or outside. Highly recommended for breakfast, outside!!! Staff was excellent, as well. I would definitely go back here. We tried IHOP down the street, and do not even waste your time!!!!!!!
We had breakfast at Boo Bears. We should have taken the hint that none of the people outside had received their food. We waited 30 minutes for my biscuit and gravy / waffle and my wife's French toast. My biscuit was so hard the fork bounced off. My wife's french toast was cold and it hardly had any batter on it. Oh and my plate had green food particles stuck around the outside. I don't think this came from my waffle. Save the stomach distress and skip Boo Bears!
