Roadhouse Cafe, Yucca Valley

Arrived at opening time on a Saturday nght expecting to have a great meal and enjoy the evening. Wrong! the place was not very clean and we were seated in a corner by a wall which was dirty and splattered with dried food. The floors were in need of vacumming and the chairs at the other empty tables were askew. After what seemed like an exceptionally long time to wait I ordered a filet mignon with potatoes and my boyfriend ordered the scallops. As an appetizer my boyfriend ordered a bowl of soup which came out of the kitchen luke warm and in an obviously dirty bowl, (dried soup was all over the lip of bowl) I ordered my filet medium and when received it was cold and raw on inside. I returned my filet for which they took away entire plate and brought it back less than 5 minutes after they whisked it away only to look at the filet and see they had obviously put the entire plate in the microwave and nuked my filet! It was dried and burned on the outside and raw and cold on the inside. Potatoes were au gratin potatoes, Flavor was ok but come on - augratin potatoes can be made without the milk curdling in the sauce! My boyfriend commented on how good the scallops were but also at the same time mentioned several times that it was very pricey for 6 scallops . My filet was also way over priced! We did not stay for dessert obviously and I have no desire to return to this place in the future.
