I am a 31 yr old single guy and I enjoy eating out. I have been venturing out to local restaurants by myself lately in the past month it is hard to find someone to join me due to my lifestyle. Both of my parents have past and I rarely eat a good home cooked meal now days. For the longest time I was craving biscuits and gravy. It was late into the evening when I walked into Pete’s; I was greeted by the waitress and had quite a few tables to choose from except for a few already occupied by families. The place looked eccentric and quite amusing to my taste. It felt like home. The staff was very friendly and peaceful. I was able to satisfy my hunger of biscuits and gravy for dinner that night and a few days later was able to satisfy a long craved dish of liver and onions. I plan on going back and trying other dishes as well. Pete’s became one of my fav’s that I plan to visit more often.
decent place. lots of food for not a lot of money, decent taste. Great when the swampers are working, but the place gets so hot and humid in the summer time that it is hard to even walk in let along eat there.
Friendly employees and customers. Good food. Greek salads, breakfast special, and steak dinner are my favorites. The filet mingon (sp?) is thee best! Incredible prices. Lots of regulars that can tell you the history of our little town. Retired Marines and contractors frequent this place. The building really needs a face lift on the inside but it is by far, my favorite place to meet the locals and eat. Give it a try and bring the family. You'll see my husband there every morning.
We went to this Restaurant and should have left soon as we walked in the door. The place didn’t have any visible health dept. grade posted. We sat and noticed the there was sign that says Cash only. We proceeded to order and give the place a chance but once the food arrived at the table we noticed that the salad was floating in salad dressing that didn’t taste anything like Greek dressing. The meal wasn’t even a good try at Greek food or stir-fries my wife ordered. I wouldn’t go near this place again it was a bad experience altogether.
found this place by accident on the way to jack in the box. easily the BEST restaurant in 29 palms. small little mom & pop operation. mostly locals and cops eat here. i don't think i've seen another marine there yet. great place to eat. i just found it last week and i've already eaten there 3 times. the burgers are great, the pastrami sandwich is awesome, the breakfast is AWESOME. i don't want to hype it up too much, just go and eat there for yourself.
