Maggio's Pizza, Big Bear Lake

My husband and I ate at Maggio's on Monday, January 9, 2012. They claim to have authentic Italian Sauce ... then don't! We are both Italian, and their sauce is not! Their Spaghetti Sauce tasted like Mexican Chili. It was the worst! Needless to say, we will not be back.

I can truly say that the pizza was good.... But as far as customer service the two times that we've had dinner, your staff has been very rude. You could hang a sign up so people know to pick up there order, and maybe you could ask the people that have already ordered to please stand away from the counter and not expect the new customer to tell them to move, because your to lazy to move on the other side of the cash register to take my order, but I do understand when you have a weight problem maybe you should have a job that makes you move away from the counter, and the other girls stop taking about your problems at work, we just want to order our meal. Bus boys were very good at there jobs and with a smile and even ask if everything was fine. Your food was suggested and when we told them we had dinner there and we complained about the attitudes and service they said oh that was probably the same one I already said. Customer service has a lot to do with running a business no matter how good your food is.

This is my favorite restaurant in bb. In fact besides the scenere I think this is the only thing I will miss about living here for 23 years. Their food is the best and the people are cool.

I was in Big Bear for Memorial Weekend 2010.I stopped at this shopping center ,then came across this pizza place.I asked my wife to go in & get us a pizza was refused service.The lady at the counter said they where closed.It was 9:01p.m. & there normal closing time is 9:00p.m.The restaurant still had quite a bit of customers dining which did not appear they were leaving soon.My wife walked out the restaurant & we sat in the car observing the place.At this time other customers entered the place to pickup up phone orders .but there was a couple other customers who's order was taken.As being hispanic & the other customers being white ,I felt a little discriminated.I felt this place as being racist.

pizza is excellent. the spaghetti and meatballs tho aren't as nice. pasta was over cooked and meatballs tasted like cardboard.

As a long time local i know big bear this way and that, and Maggios has been at the top of my list for a long time. Maggios is one of the top restuarants in Big Bear, if not THE top restuarant. I recommend their Pastrami Sub and ALL of their pizzas!

WOW! BBQ chicken Pizza is amazing! They just get it right! A definate spot to stop at in Big Bear!
