Levreri's Italian Restaurant, Palm Springs

we walked in to a piano player,and a very cozy restarant,the piano player talked to all the patrons,and made us feel as if we were at our own Momma's house! Our food was delicious and not overly cooked,the prices were very reasonable also! We will defantly go back! What a wonderful dining experience!

If you are tired of the overly done, frilly restaurants in Palm Springs that offer all the hype but the food falls short of memorable, do not pass up this place! We almost left this restaurant trying to avoid the usual disappointment but I was very pleasantly surprised and pleased. The building itself stands alone and is easy to pass up since it isn't amongst the colony of restaurants on Palm Canyon. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing while the food was very delicious. My husband and I were able to cuddle in a large comfy booth while listening to Italian music in candle light. They offer you fresh bread with warm chopped garlic on top, which we had along side our Caesar Salad that was pretty good but could have a bit less dressing, but then I had the Vodka Penne with Shrimp as my main course and it was delicious! The Shrimp were very generous in size and the pasta was full of flavor. The prices were reasonable and a lot less than you will find around town for good food and a classy atmosphere. The service was quick, and they timed our main course to come out at the right time. I will definitely go back!

Unfortunately, this great restaurant closed in 2005. The owners opened a smaller restaurant in nearby Palm Desert named, "Mama Livreri's." The same Chef and many of the same employees followed them.

I loved the atmosphere as well as the food. As for the wait staff, well, I can't say enough. Very friendly and efficient. Being that I live roughly 80 miles away and don't think twice about making the trip to Palm Springs solely to visit and eat at Livreri's, that should speak for itself.
