The owner is very friendly and creative.
He prepared tasty and unique sashimi plate for us.
This compliment comes from me, a Japanese who eat Sushi all over the world. They close at 9:00pm. You better go early.
The great thing about this place is no cork fee.
My husband wanted to drink a specific wine from our favorite winery that night.
They were very pleasant to give us glasses and did not charge cork fee.
I accidently stumbled upon this place and ate there 3 times in 4 days after. Definitly a good place for seafood lovers and the Sushi is a much welcomed bonus. Take out is great since I live about 3 minutes from this gem in the desert. I think I'm gonna order dinner in a minute or two.
This restaurant, by far, is the most disappointing experience in the desert for me. I ordered Sashimi dinner that did not come for 48 minutes (the place was not busy at the time). I wouldn't have minded too much but a taste of the platter made me wish that I should have left after 30 minutes of waiting.
I noticed that everyone that walked-in after me that afternoon was served first - probably because they are locals/regulars. I decided that this is definitely a place for regulars and not for new customers or those just passing through.
The help were somewhat contemptuous or maybe embarrassed by the way they treat unknown customers.
I cannot recommend this place unless you are a regular. The food did not seem too fresh, and they serve soup and things on Styrofoam or plastic containers - albeit, the way they like it.
This place definitely is a must to avoid - am on for an ongoing search for a reasonably priced japanese/sushi place in the desert.
Just got home from there, the food was great, service so-so but not bad. I would completely recommend this to my dearest friend. Be prepared for a more than casual atmosphere which is exactly what I was looking for.
A group of us went on valentines day and kinda got some bad service from one of the waitresses that was working the register. Other than that the food was great and we got a chance to meet Frankie ,he's wonderful!!!
I have been to this place more than any other restaurants put together. Their sushi is delicous, especially the spicy tuna. The dinners are always great tasting. Make sure you check them out for lunch as they usally have lunch specials. The lunch specials are not part of the regular menu, so it is always there if you want something different. Which leads me to the only real negative, their selection. Which is limited, especially in the soups. Overall the food, the people, and the ambiance make you want to come back again and again. You should give this place a try, you will be glad you did.
