Cafe Luna, San Diego

Great restaurant, a true diamond in the rough. Hidden in the back of a strip mall, the food is excellent and staff and ambience are phenomenal. Had a surprise birthday party for my wife there earlier this year (party of 25 separate room with bar set aside). Checked out a lot of places to host the party, everyone else was about the dollars and logistics. Here, I discussed things over several glasses of wine the manager had me sample, and everything was instantly taken care of. It was a slam dunk, and the party was a huge success. Could not recommend them higher.

okay i just had the lobster ravioli for dinner and is too bad the i can only give to the chef 5 stars, wish the i can give him more my dinner was perfect great job looking fawared for my meal...

My fiance' and I held our wedding rehearsal dinner here, after many recommendations. We (ourselves and our guests) loved, loved, loved this place! The venue is incredibly romantic, unique and filled with character. The food was extroadinarily delicous! And the staff was warm and accommodating. I can't wait to revisit!!!!

I've been going here with my uncle for over four years and I have never been disappointed. Anyone who has give the restaurant less than 5 stars hasn't tried the tournadoes gorgonzola or the della luna salad! I was just there last night and everything was excellent, but I was disappointed to learn that Chef Krysta is no longer at Cafe Luna! The new guy still did a fantastic job on food that I've been ordering for years. Definitely worth going!

Cafe Luna! Simple, comfortable, and delicious. Nicole, Krysta, and all of the staff are outstanding. Vicki and I ALWAYS enjoy our time there when we and can even enjoy our dinner as take out! The food is THAT good. What makes it more appealing is that it is tucked away in Carmel Mountain and feels like our little secret! We have been fortunate enough to get to know Nicole and she always makes a point to remember us and keep us up to speed. Don't miss a chance to enjoy this cozy hot spot!

10 out of 10 stars. This amazing little jewel has captured our hearts not to mention our taste buds. My mouth starts to water hours before our reservation just thinking about the incredible meal we are about to enjoy. My wife oreders something new from Chef Krystas specials every time we go and raves that this one is even better than the last. Casual, cozy and elegant all in one very unusual location. Enjoy everyone, I know we will for years to come.

The food is quite good, and a decent wine selection. It is a small place, and pretty crowded, but dependable. Definately a good option over Olive Garden next store.

The atmosphere was exactly as mentioned by others; located in a carls Jr shopping center, with dark windows. I have lived in the area for over 10 years and had never thought of going inside, but after reading the reviews of others I decided to treat my boy friend there for his birthday. Once we opened the door, the music and the settings made us happy about this choice. the atmosphere was very romantic and with lots of space between each table we truley felt like we were the only couple. We had an absolutly womderful waiter who was so friendly and just made us feel so comfortable. The only thing that we were unhappy with was the quality of the food, the appetizers that we got were absolutly wonderful, a type of mozzeralla covered ham rolls, and I would go back just for those. The actual food looked amazing, however, the food looked a lot better than it actualy tasted. The food had a very bland taste to it, and both of us were unhappy with the taste of the food. We would go back though just to be in that atmosphere and expereince the candle night italian dinner.

Everything is great here, I have been about 10 times now and every time it just gets better. Nicole, the host, always makes you feel welcomed. Can't wait to go back again
