Jack and Giulio's Italian Restaurant, San Diego

My boyfriend and I took my parents to Jack and Giulio's for dinner and we were all impressed- no small feat considering how finicky those two are! The restaurant is not like most places in San Diego- it reminds me of the family-run restaurants on the east coast. The servers were polite, prompt, and incredibly knowledgeble- my server suggested the filet in cognac and it was TO DIE FOR! I can't say I've had anything quite as delicious in a long time. My mom had the scampi alla Giulio and she couldn't stop raving about how wonderful it was. Dad went for a special, the veal chop, and he said it was the best and most tender veal he's had in a long time. My boyfriend loved the pasta dish he had- it was a spinach filled green pasta in a creamy mushroom sauce- amazing! You have got to try a lemon drop martini at Jack and Giulio's because this is the best lemon drop I have ever had.
