Both their food and service are good and we usually go when we don't feel like cooking as the prices are reasonable.

Great Thai restaurant located in the far corner of the Von's shopping center at College & El Cajon. Great food, reasonable prices, and friendly staff. Lots of veggie options if you're not a meat-eater. I like the spicy fried rice a lot, and the Tom Ka soup is great.

Great place, good service & nice portions of yummy Thai food. Plus it's cheap as hell! Popeye chicken & Pinapple Fried rice. Dont forget the vegetable spring rolls!

I've been here several times and the food is exceptional. It is in the top two of my favorite thai restaurants, 1st place goes to Thai Time in North Park. The portions are generous and if you order lunch to go, you get your choice of an egg roll or fried vegetable dumplings (which I highly recommend). Average prices. Fast takeout. No complaints.

The atmosphere is great, the service and the food are excellent and you get a lot of food for your money. I don't have anything negative to say about this place!

I live half a block from Sala Thai and have been going there regularly for over five years now. I love the restaurant for it's high quality food, the service/ambience and the selection. I have dined inside the restaurant as well as gotten take out more times than I can count, and the food is extremely consistent either way. The ingredients are always fresh, including the seafood and seasonal fruits and veggies. There is a lunch special menu which offers a wide variety of some of their most popular dishes in a combo of your choosing (egg roll, salad, soup, etc) for around six bucks. Some of my favorites include Tom Ka soup (absolutely to die for), Red Curry, Popeye Chicken, Pad Thai, and Spicy Noodles. The restaurant is newly redecorated, and the chosen style is very elegant and modern. It is clear to see that much care has been put into this restaurant, both from the friendly customer service and attentive staff to the ambience of fine dining and relaxation...Sala Thai really delivers a wonderful experience. You absolutely will not be sorry you went, and you will want to come back to try every dish on their menu. This is also a fantastic place to bring friends, have a romantic dinner, or host out of town guests, definitely sure to please. Sala Thai is sure to be packed full of customers, but it never takes away from the ambience. It just goes to show you how popular the place is.

I go there every week, and it's always packed. Their Pad Thai is simply the best I've ever have after visiting so many Thai restuarants in San Diego. Also, the waitress are very nice and polite; they always come to ask whether everything is okay and stuff. I give them an A+

The duck and the yelow chicken curry with no onions. You can't go wrong. Some of the best Thai food I've ever had and I have honestly eaten at over 75 Thai restaurants!!!
