I have eaten at Brian s in the past which always had good service and descent food. I went in for breakfast and the service was awful and the food, almost as bad.
I made a simple request of substituting feta cheese instead of swiss on my omelet and it never happened. I brought it to our waiter s attention and he told me he forgot to write it on the order. He pretty much blew me off. He didn t offer to have the omelet remade but offered to bring a side of feta.I told him to forget about it. He was very busy and had a very non- accommodating mood about him. I scraped off the swiss and did my best only to find cold potatoes and a very bland omelet. He came back only to place the bill on our table and did not say one word. No thank you or can I get you anything else, nothing.
The menu on this website is out of date. We visited this restaurant, and were surprised to find many items not available, and the ones that were available were almost twice the price of the attached menu.
Don't eat here unless you want to deal with rude staff. Have eaten at this restaurant (formerly Topsy's) for many years. Today I stopped in for breakfast with a couple friends before heading to the farmers market (across street). I parked my vehicle at a family members house nearby and we all walked to the restaurant. This accomplished not having to move my vehicle after eating and before the farmers market AND allowed more room for customers in Brians parking lot. When we departed the restaurant the manager (Tio) starting yelling at us to move our vehicle. I told him I had not parked in his lot. He called me a liar and kept ranting for me to move my vehicle. I again told him I had not parked in his lot and pointed to where my vehicle was parked. He kept up the rant! Yikes....won't eat here again. This guy is crazy!
Im very upset about how I was treated after finding what looked like fried hair or brillo pad in my food!!! My server Carlito was not apologetic and didn't take care of the meal. What made it worse is he came back after taking my plate and said the chef said it was part of the potato!!! I have been cooking for years and never seen dark hair in a potato!!! I'm in the industry. If that ever happened where I work I would make sure to make it right. I live downtown and love Brians usually but this will detour me from coming back. The broken yoke my be my new stomping grounds. Please take this to heart. I dont ever write bad reviews. Please contact me on my email firstname.lastname@example.org and please make this right. Dont fire carlito but let him know that he shouldnt make excuses and the customer is always right.
My Wife and I have been to Brian's a few times and thought the service and food were both great, apparently no longer. First off they need specify that the Fries are Seasoned and not standard deep fried potatoes as most people would expect to get. I ordered the Club and my Wife ordered the Chicken Sandwich. There was one small piece of Turkey and two tiny pieces of Bacon that was cold and soggy. There was way too much Ham, it overpowered everything else and honestly was a bit sickening so I had to remove most of it. The bread was greasy and soggy. The Chicken Sandwich was a heated up frozen breaded chicken patty on a burger bun. My Wife ordered a side salad and the Vegetables were starting to turn brown from age. I mentioned to our Waitress about the Fries and she agreed that it should specify. I didn't mention anything about the Sandwiches. This probably wouldn't have been a big deal to me if it weren't for the fact that these Sandwiches are $12.00 each.
