Old Trieste Restaurant, San Diego

I've been patronizing this restaurant for years, as did my parents before me, when Larry's father was the owner. Actually I think Larry has legions of second-generation fans. The food is incredible and the service fabulous. It indeed is one of San Diego's treasures. -DM

We've been joining Larry for the past 15 years, while my family has dined with Larry's dad, Tommy for over 40 years. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is unique; the overall experience is to die for!! We love going to have a quiet dinner just my husband and I to taking friends and family. Everyone ALWAYS raves about the service and the food! Both are always top notch!! Try the walnut cake! It is the BEST!

We love Old Trieste! If you are looking for a place to sit down and enjoy great service and outstanding food, this is the place to go. The service is prompt and professional and the food is like no other place around. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing...it is a place for romance as well as business. Whenever we go to Old Trieste, we are always treated so well. This place is San Diego's hidden treasure and we are so glad we found it!

The food and the service is wonderful, we go there at least once a month. The lunch is the best bargain for your money. Larry the owner knows his customers well.

43 years and still going strong. My family's favorite restaurant ... my parents have been going there for over 30 years. We will continue the tradition. The food is wonderful and the service is top notch. Warm and comfortable atmosphere. Everything is excellent. Larry (owner & host) and Victor treat us like very special guests...always remebering our favorite drinks and entrees. If you enjoy eating out, you must try Old Trieste...not only a superb meal, but a great experience!

Larry and Victor treat us like royalty. Larry (owner) even calls me Contessa Caballero! The Beef Medallions are to die for! The atmosphere is quiet and sophisticated. We spoil our favorite friends and relatives with dinner here when they have been very very good!

I love this place! If you need a romantic, expensive, delicious place, come here. Great for formal buisness meeting too. I bring my company here.
