Tom Ham's Lighthouse, San Diego

I love this place. I've only been for their Holiday and Sunday buffets. The food is pretty good compared to similiar pricey buffets I've been to (Lowe's Coronado) and the view is just simply amazing. I don't know why I love staring out the windows so much but I just do. I also think the wait staff are very pleasant and easy to deal with. Flagging down any of their passing staff for a request regardless of whether you are their table or not is no big deal to them.

I disliked the way we were told we only had until 2:30 to eat our brunch; we had our Reservation at 1:45 p.m. We felt rushed to eat our food. Why in the world would you allow reservations so late? The oystersin the halfshell were worm, and the hot food was cold. There's nothing worst than eating cold food.It was suppose to be flowing with champagne, but our glasses were not. I had to keep asking for refills. I'm very disappointed, and probably will not go back for Sunday Brunch.

This restaurant has long been one of my favorites, my husband proposed to me at this restaurant! HOWEVER, on Jan. 28, 2007, we went to the Champaign Brunch, I was drinking my Champaign when my husband stopped me very suddenly there was a good size piece of the glass Champaign bottle in the bottom of my glass. Had my husband not stopped me I could have been badly hurt by this. When we called the Manager over to alert her to what happened she felt bad and said they would do something about it and they would contact me later that week. They NEVER contacted me not even to say they were sorry or anything. They have been incredibly rude every time I have called. ALL I CAN SAY IS BEWARE!!!!

I liked the place alot. The only thing i would change is put the prices on the menu, cause it was annoying having to ask what the price of everything was.

Pretty good food, excellent view.
