Had lunch at the open air type restaurant. Loved having lunch with our friends, but not the flys!!! OOdles of flys kept buzzing around our food and made our delicious meal less desirable. The food was great the flys were horrid!!!!! Go in the evening if you would like a great meal and no flys.
Chef Izzie is a skilled chef who clearly loves to please the palate and amaze with outstanding presentation. The pork chops I had melted in my mouth- better than any I have ever had. The desserts were scrumptious, the staff atttentiive, and the whole place small but very charming.
The specials are thoughtful and interesting, the place has a romantic and atmospheric ambience- small and intimate- yet LARGE as any of the greatest in LA ( but minus pretentiousness!).
The Belly Up, legendary for its insightful booking of wonderful misuc artists, can add this jewel to their crown as well-the experience at either is always positive, and rewarding for an evening out of great food, music and laid back Solana-Style charm- I highly reccomend both!
A nicely appointed decor with relative music and soft lighting set an intimate mood for 2 to 4.
Energetic service and eclectic menu make it an ideal first-date spot without breaking your pocketbook.
Will be sending my oldest and a friend on a double date.
Beautifully put together so the live music drifts through this cozy little restaurant while every entree, appetizer, dessert, and glass of spirits satisfies your tongue. Situated next door to one of the best music venues in SoCal it's both romantic and lively, friendly but private. It also has a small bar where you can sit and listen to their featured artist or group if not eating dinner but want a warm up before the show next door.
