I just happened upon these reviews and do NOT know what you are talking about. EVERYBODY who works here is SUPER FRIENDLY! They have the best mexican food in town, and their carrots are to die for!! What I have noticed is that when an order is being placed, they are focused DIRECTLY on that person, which ensures the order is 100% correct and when it comes to the next person in line, they are just as friendly and courteous as can be! They definitely are busy - because they have the best food in town! You might wait a few extra minutes but it's well worth it! I've been going there for about six months at least once a week! Try it, you'll love it!
I agree with Dick Trickle. It took a friend and I (we're white) 45 minutes to get two burritos, only to find they kept putting our ticket behind each hispanic customer that ordered AFTER us. We discovered this 30 minutes into our wait and watched for and additional 15 minutes as they kept pushing the order back. They don't like being caught in their childish acts either!
I've eaten at La Gordita since it opened and just called in my order! It has doubled it's size since it 1st opened. The food is excellent, employees are wonderful. Isreal and Juana have turned this place into a HUGE hit.
If you want lunch time to go faster, call in your order for pick-up. I by-pass all the people waiting in the line.
I had never tried a gordita before and WOW are they awesome! : )
