The Fish Market
Serving the freshest and finest seafood in San Diego. Our harbor side restaurant located on San Diego bay offers multiple dining venues and amazing views. We have outside patio dining, outside cocktail area, enclosed patio dining and banquet facilities. We also have an Oyster Bar, full service bar and a Sushi Bar. We even have a retail market for fresh fish and all of our menu items are available for take out. We print our menus twice daily so that we may offer only the best. Mesquite charbroiled seafood, pastas, salads, specialties, clams & oysters, crab cakes, sushi and much more. You must try our famous Dungeness Crab Cioppino and signature Smoked Fish Sampler. Start your meal off with our exceptional sourdough bread and plan to finish your meal with a slice of house made key lime pie, creme brulee, or chocolate indulgence. We can accommodate groups of up to 50 in our private banquet room.
Definetly not what we expected. When we walked in and took a look at the menu, the prices seemed outrageous. We ordered anyway and the service ended up being incredibly poor. The food took too long to come out and when we ate our selections, they had little taste. The calimari was bland and the sauces tasted like they were straight out of a bottle. The melted butter (a necessity for any real seafood lover) tasted like pure vegetable oil. We were not impressed and will not go back.
Everything about this restaurant was great. If you go, you MUST have the garlic cheesebread. I am 42 years old and this is the best garlic bread I have ever eaten. I could have made a meal out of just the bread. The rest of the food was very good, the prices were reasonable and the ocean views were very nice and relaxing. Plus you can walk down to Seaport Village and make a nice romantic evening of it.
I just came back and it was excellent! I traveled from the Bay area and was looking for a good seafood spot and this was it. I got to sit in the patio with the beautiful view and I was wow'd. Will definitely come back again when I make my trip back to San Diego. Great Service and great food.
I like the location, since it sits right next to the Harbor Tours, the Midway and Seaport Village. We took our 3 and 5 year olds to eat lunch there and I found it to be kid friendly and the food was great. Will definetely go back..
The seating options include indoor and outdoors overlooking the bay. Good oyster selection. Besides the family-style restaurant, there is a sushi bar and (you guessed it) a fish market on the same level, as well as an upscale restaurant on the 2nd floor. Highly recommended.
The best thing about this place is the view of the ocean. The service was average and I think the prices are a bit too much. I thought it was going to be more of an outdoor fish market but I guess not...
LOVE THIS PLACE. THREE DAYS IN A ROW BUT THOSE DARN
CHAIRS ON THE BALCONY/PATIO HAVE TO GO. EVERYONE I SPOKE WITH THOSE 3 AFTERNOONS AGREED - THE CHAIRS ARE
HORRIBLE, HARD ON THE BUTT AND TOTALLY UNCONFORTABLE.
YOU HAD GUEST THAT COME ONCE A WEEK FROM NORTH S.D.
AND THEY TOO SAID THEY HAVE COMPLAINED. HOPE YOU WILL
DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. THANKS. JOHN ROSE
