The food at this place is great. You have to stop by. As terrible as it is, the coffee cake is amazingly good as is their banana crunch french toast. Oh, and the breakfast burrito is also amazing. You will be addicted.
This use to be my favorite local breakfast spot in oceanside, when i moved away from here to ,vegas I made this a deffinite go to spot on my monthly visits back home. Since i moved back last December I have gone back a couple of times ,each time my satisfication with the wait and overall quality of food has gone down. Its amazing people stand in line to eat here for average food it use to be spectacular not any more cold meals served wrong food slow on refills. 30 to 40 min waits at breakfast , maybe they should expand and make the dinning area a little more roomie, i dont want to smell the drunk (hungover ) patrons who dont bathe besides in the ocean, could be sooooooo much better like the old days. In fact the only time I will go here is if my family really wants to otherwise i go to other local breakfast spots there is so much more in our town worth the money
The food is absolutely DELICIOUS. i would not go anywhere else. there's a denny's up the street that can not even compare to the quality of the food.
you get free coffee while you wait, and yeah sometimes the wait is long but it's soo worth it. the waitstaff is nice and friendly.
the banana crunch french toast is my favorite. i also like their french vanilla coffee and their homefries!!
OH, and you have to get the coffee cake if you go there- it's fresh and so so so sooo delicious
the best thing is that it is not over priced. a place like this could charge so much more but they dont.
definetly reccomend it, and i'm a picky eater!
I love the Beach Break! Good value for what you get(the portions are HUGE!)
I reccomend the Denver omelet. The coffee is good(though it was a bit on the weak side the last time I was there). You can't go wrong with any of the specials, and you'd have to be pretty picky to not be able to find *something* you like!
Just so you know, there is usually a wait on the weekends, which given how good the food is here,is understandable. It's well worth the wait, believe me!
The staff is extremely friendly, and always remembers a face(if you're a regular and haven't been there in a while they will ask where you've been and what you've been up to which is a nice touch :)
We eat at the Beach Break at least once a week. Our daughter has grown up there. It's the best breakfast in San Diego. We've tried to find other places that have food as good -- so far we've found nothing. The prices can't be beat, either. The service is excellent as well.
