Amazing food at great prices! Really friendly staff. They accommodated a 25 person party for my birthday, and the service was excellent! If you are going to get sushi anywhere in La Jolla and you don't want to break the bank, I definitely would recommend this place.
Great combination of DELICIOUS Chinese dishes along with great sushi make this restaurant a must-go for asian food cravings. For sushi eaters, I highly recommend you go to the bar and have Josh the sushi chef take care of you. Excellent chef who provides all the needs any customer would expect but better! I've never seen anyone take the time to make sure his customers are enjoying their food while lavishly decorating every platter he serves. I've gone a couple times already and have found the only con is the service at the tables to be pretty poor so watch out.
This is my first time back to La Jolla in about 3 years and was really craving Sushi. There are a lot of choices in La Jolla for Sushi, so the this is the first place I have tried. I have to say the fish was very fresh, the 1 roll I got, the Hawaiian, was huge and tased very good. The Sushi shef was very friendly and fun to talk with. Sake selection could have been better. Would very much recommend it!!!
I agree with the other reviews posted on this restaurant - that there is a good variety of asian food. The best was the Korean BBQ. However, I wish the Korean food was on the menu instead of hearing about it through word of mouth. I definetely think the Korean food is just as strong as the Chinese and Sushi.
This resturant use to be Yen's Walk on Pearl where the food was good, but expensive. It than changed names and owners and have gone back twice. First time, I tried the sushi which was okay, but not worth the price. There is much better sushi place in La Jolla & Pacific Beach. The next time I tried the lunch bufft. I could not eat the food it was so bad. I acuallty paid for the food and went to lunch some where elese. Both times I ate there I had to wait about 15-20 min just for a glass of water & ask for it about 10 times. The services is poor and the food is poor. I think probally the menue food would be better but take your fair warning.
