The only reason that I give this establishment a poor and not an awful is because of its fantastic location. That being said, there was really nothing else positive about it. The portion sizes were fine, large in fact, but the food was such a disappointment. It looked fantastic, but once you started to eat it it was incredibly dried out and bland. No one was asked for more drinks or refills, we had to grab our server or someone else if we ever wanted them. We waited over 20 minutes after our meal for a dessert menu, and then after waiting almost a half an hour for a very simple dessert, we were ready to get our check and leave. Finally when the dessert came we asked for our check and our server said that she would get it but did not come back for another 10 minutes to check on how the dessert was and we had to ask her for it again. For such a cute little restaurant, it was pretty empty which did not make sense when we first got there, but as we were leaving we completely understood. While the wait staff was courteous, they were lazy, extremely inattentive, and had absolutely ZERO sense of urgency, we were pretty sure that they were all talking in the bar area amongst themselves the majority of the time instead of taking care of the few customers that they actually had. We had many other problems here as well, and while I wish I could find more positive things to say about this restaurant, I just feel as though there are so many more people out there right now without a job that would appreciate working there so much more and want to make it a much better experience for their customers. I absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone, just go to George's, you will spend the same, have just as great of a view (better if you sit outside), and your food and service will blow Brockton Villa out of the water. Or just go to the to-go Chinese food place down the street, you will save a ton of money and your food will be infinitely better. I am absolutely not trying to put a local restaurant out of business here, but I do hope the restaurant management and staff sees this and uses it as a wake up call because the problems are so fixable.
