The Cottage is known for fun California cuisine. The building was constructed in the early 1900s and moved to its present location in the mid-teens. It was renovated into its current incarnation in the mid-1980s. Their signature breakfasts are very popular - the morning menu includes omelettes, benedicts, and waffles. Don't miss their Buttermilk Coffee Cake! The lunch menu offers selections such as Shrimp Pesto Pasta, Foccacia Chicken Panini, and Crispy Capellini Crab Cake. They also serve dinner from Memorial Day to Labor Day, so please check before venturing.
My wife and i went to The Cottage a couple weeks ago or so while on our Honeymoon. I had read some reviews about how great it was. We were able to get an outside table. The atmosphere was nice and they seemed to give a nice size portion, but we thought the food was ok and overpriced.
Great place for breakfast. I had the All American breakfast which was 3 eggs, ham, English muffin, and potatoes. My gf had the stuffed french toast with strawberries. After we ordered our food we saw people with eggs Benedict which looked awesome. Will have to try next time. Food was great and price is just about the same as other places maybe a few dollars more.
