Exciting, progressive culinary concepts and a relaxing, resort-style ambience has combined to Aloha Sushi Lounge as a dining must in San Diego area. One mere glance at Aloha Sushi Lounge's menu, featuring Asian Fusion dusted with Hawaiian influences, you will see that you are in for an incredible meal. Additionally, Aloha Sushi Lounge features traditional sushi offerings while fully embracing the new wave philosophy of sushi, which utilized non-traditional ingredients and techniques to produce sushi specialties that come bursting with an exciting new assortment of taste sensations. Aloha Lounge's tropical decor, highlighted by spacious cabana seating in their outdoor patio, not only lends the perfect complement to their delectable cuisine, it also provides the ideal backdrop to indulge in one of their many fine sakes, wines and sojus. Located in La Jolla and situated mere blocks from the legendary coastline, Aloha Sushi provides a local escape that is deliciously refreshing.
This is the best sushi restaurant in san diego . try the Specialty Rolls, my fave is the Jalapeno Roll, it rocks also the aloha roll and magic shrooms.the grill plate all great. they have daily special every nite . on monday it $1 sake, tuesday it $1 sushi, wed all you can eat for 25. pretty much everthings on the menu, thursday college nite buy one roll get the next one off and 1/2 off on drinks. the service was quick and the sushi chefs all great and the waitresses all very socialable . very cool atmosphere the music all great, the patio is huge and inside have cool booth sitting. a must place to visit. very highly recommended it.
Great setting, fantastic sushi. Price was reasonable. We don't usually like specialty rolls but we tried the Aloha roll and highly recommend it. Definitely see why this place has such a great reputation. Would go back again on my next visit to SD.
The sushi rice was awful. The fish didn't taste fresh. The other food, such as the curry, was poorly made and had no taste to it. For better sushi, try Fuji Restaurant on 911 Camino Del Rio S and ask for Ten, the sushi chef. He is amazing and the food there is phenomenal, the sushi superb.
