terrible chinese food.....Instead of a review I'll give you people some advice, don't eat here. The food is bland and overpriced. Our order wrong in the first place, but the food we did get was terrable, plus we didn't even get rice with our meal. I've always had a theory that you get what you paid for and I definitely got jacked. Don't eat here worst food ever, if you live in carlsbad village just go to the 7-eleven down the road and by some old ass hot dogs, it's probably tastier and probably safer to eat too.
It is actually an authentic Chinese restaurant. The food is comparable to other authentic Chinese restaurants of San Francisco Chinatown and Monterey Park of LA. The service is good. The owners were not good at publicity(advertising), but good at cooking. No wonder it took a local like me to discover it until now-- after they have opened for 27 years.
I liked the food it was really good. The won ton soup was outstanding, the dumplings in the soup were perfect and they gave you a lot of dumplings to match the quantity of broth. The pan fried dumplings were great, the dipping sauce was a light vinegar/ginger type sauce. I got the lemon chicken, which was a good portion, two chicken cutlets and the lemon sauce was very tart and made the dish taste great! I also tried the Beef Lo Mein, and again I was very happy. I recommend giving it a try!
CRAP food Awful service Poor attitude of owner. I am from East Coast where TRULY authentic chinese food is made. Come on now!
Food is bland with poor portions- Charged me an extra $5 for bean sprouts on chow mein! Never had I experienced such awful food.
My family and I have been going here for years. The food is unbeatable. I have never found authentic chinese food like it...anywhere! The service is a tad slow but thats becuase they are giving each and every table personal attention that they deserve. Youll appreciate it when it comes back to you. Check it out, i promise you wont be dissapointed.
