Vigilucci's Seafood & Steakhouse, Carlsbad

Service-Good Food-Amazing if cooked properly. View-Impeccable, and at sunset, very romantic.

We were looking for good seafood in Carlsbad. Ordered expecting good food as the price was in the range of usually good quality seafood restaurant. My wife ordered surf and turf. The steak was overcooked, the potatoes were instant (Never had instant potatoes at a restaurant before). My meal was a rice and swordfish meal which tasted fine but would not pay that price for the quality of food we got. Very disappointed in this establishment. We would never eat here again or recommend this place to any friend.

Never again: Ate here on their patio on a Saturday afternoon. Service was VERY SLOW and poor (drinks were never refilled, had to continually ask for things, tablecloths were dirty), food was mediocre at best - priced too high for what it was ($90.00 for lunch for two) and the noise from the street took away from the beautiful view of the water across the street. The restaurant has no regular parking, only valet - for a parking lot that holds MAYBE 15 cars maximum and is 10 steps away from their front door. Kind of an insult to have to pay for valet service. If you don't want to pay valet, you have to park on the street or down the beach somewhere. This location would serve better as a dive bar or coffee shop. Save your money and eat somewhere else. 4/3/07

i liked it.. service does take long. It's like that for everybody I suppose. The food was good, ceasar salad was delicious, the waitress was very nice, I had a crab cake sandwich and was satisfied. Infact, my company will be having our christmas lunch over there this year. Yeah!

I feel bad so many others have not had a pleasant experience. I was very pleased; dined on 9/5/2008, had the smoked oyster dish for app, steak & lobster (a special, not on menu) for main, and the chocolate tortino; partner had chicken milanese. food excellent, service excellent, enjoyed the sunset. got a litle noisy at the end, though. pricey, but to me worth it.

We were very disappointed in the service. Had to wait at least an hour and a half for dinner to come. Dinner was cold when served. Valet parking insisted we had to give a minimum of $4.00 tip. We arrived at 5:30. Put in our order by 6 and food did not arrive till around 7:30 pm. Tast of food was very disappointing for the price. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Ate there Sun evening and (barely)made it home with food poisening. Called the next day, spoke to a manager name M... and was told it could not happened that fast. Gee, did not know that food poisening takes time. Gave my name and phone # but was never contacted. They charge a lot of $$$ and I would have expected the same amount of courtesy. Will I or any of my friends be back???? NEVER EVER
