Armenian Cafe

Description

The Armenian Cafe serves Middle Eastern cuisine on an outdoor patio. Most guests opt to dine on the porch, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. On Friday and Saturday nights, enjoy live belly dancing entertainment. Belgian Waffles top the breakfast menu. For an elaborate breakfast, top your waffle with fruit, ice cream, whipped cream and syrup. Later in the day, consider the Spinach Bereg Platter. Phyllo dough is stuffed with spinach and cheese, then baked and served with rice pilaf and cucumber and yogurt dip.

one of the best restaurants in carlsbad or even san diego
By ,
anyone speaks bad about this restaurant is not playing with a full deck. one of the best places to dine in carlsbad. excellent food, excellent quality, excellent service (so what if you have to wait a bid if the line is all the way out the door). prices are very reasonable. Breakfast is the best ever. Dinner and live entertainment on the weekends is one of a kind. Totally ocean view indoors and outdoors. i love their armenian beer. I highly recommend this place to all. We are locals in carlsbad and we have dined at the armenian cafe many many times. This restaurant/cafe has been in our town for over 15 years now. The owners are such beautiful people, very hospitable. You feel like you are at home. Breakfast is to die for. their lunch and dinner menu is almost the same, the food is just top notch quality. we havn't had any bad experience. Portions are great. Prices are reasonable. The service is great. I have taken many friends and business associates. I love their entertainment too. They have belly dancing and a musician playing the keyboard and singing in many languages on the weekends. Sunday Brunch is a hit, live music and excellent menu. The place is always packed. their food always tastes Fresh. Sometimes we have waited longer than the usual for the food to arrive but when you see a line of people waiting all the way to the street, you can understand why.

Our Favorite Carlsbad Restaurant
By ,
This place has been a favorite of my wife's and mine for 6 years. We heard the property has been sold to make way for a large hotel chain; we can only hope the restaurant owner will reopen in a new place. The dessert Kataif is to die for. This is a special place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ate there with family and friends last night. absolutely devine service and food! great place if like me you love to sit outside in just about any climate! prices are fair, food is OMG scrumptious. the view of ocean wonderful. kids loved the food too, 11 and 8yr olds, even though they ordered the cheeseburgers they ate away at the shared dishes the rest of us got! Belly dancing + Great Service + Awesome Food = Very Happy Customers

We generally stay next door and eat most of our dinners and a few breakfasts at the cafe. The service is very helpful and excellent. I never was a lamb lover but I now love lamb. I always get the lamb kebob combo. The Lemon-chicken soup is superb. We try to get over to Carlsbad a couple times a year and always eat there. It is a few dollars more than a fast food, but the belly dancing, food, and service makes it worth it.. Thank you Armenian Cafe...

Today was the first time I went to the Armenian Cafe. The food was OK, nothing to write home about. Service was good. The one thing I didn't care for, were all the doors were open and that let in alot of knats. So we had knats flying around our faces and flying around the food for the whole meal, that was a bit annoying. I might try the place again in a few months.

I went to the Armenian Cafe for 2008 mother's day. The food was lousy and the host Eddy was rude. The price was way too much for the quality of food. In the end Mr. Eddy found a way to overcharge me by charging for an extra dish we did not order. I requested him to check but he will not listen. Overall, it was a bad experience. I will recommend everyone to stay away from this restaurant. I paid nearly $120 for lunch for 4 with no drink - just food and that too very poor quality food. I rate this restaurant 0 star.

We love the Armenian Cafe and come whenever we are in the area. The restaurant is not fancy, but the food is delicious and portions are very generous. The service was cheerful and playful (they teased my kids and joked around with us) so we didn't really care when they forgot to bring the glass of wine I ordered. The musician outside played familiar tunes to charm the children and their families out on the patio. We love the house garlic dip (for garlic lovers only--it bites!) and always order it as an appetizer. If you love Middle Eastern/Greek food, you'll love it here; it feels like eating at a beloved uncle's home.
