Hanaoka Japanese Restaurant, National City

My husband and I love this place. Since we have moved away from California, we always try to eat here every time we visit San Diego. SUSHI variety awesome, price is really good, and service is really good too.

This is by far, one of the only 3 Japanese Restaurants in San Diego my family and I will ever go to. Having lived in Japan for 13 years, we've been very spoiled. We love the food, the service and everything that comes with being in a traditional Japanese Restaurant. This place is it. The only thing they're missing is okonamiyaki. We'll live. Keep it up.

You gotta be kidding, folks. Terrible service, packed, don't know why, I mean I know the good Japanese restaurants in San Diego..This is a 2 star for my taste. The Miso Soup was light toned suggesting it is NOT made there. Just ordered a big can of it somewhere.. Sadly lacking in Seaweed and Soy! Soggy Salad! I love Tempura - well, it was soggy and NOT Tempura - just plain old 'fried'. I guess this place is popular because it's the only and fairly new Japanese restaurant in National City...I don't recommend it...

Absolutely amazing sushi for an even more amazing price. Service sucks though, you'll be lucky if you can get someone who speaks english well.

We're from Hawaii and love Japanese food. I have to tell you this is a place for GREAT food AND service. Food is fresh, delicious and is reasonably priced. Absolutely love this place!!!

This is my favorite in Chula Vista, Great food! Sushi is better here than in most places i've tried anywhere else

this restaurant consistently offers a great menu and good value. Hanaoka has a more complete menu that is condusive for those that are not sushi aficionados to enjoy their dining experience,

i am a sushi eater...but this one was not up to my standard...but it was pretty good!...i have eaten at way better places...but this was okay since i was in the area...
