Not that good.... went to the one in Solana. -burrito was super small. price was expensive ($5 for a carne asada burrito). not sure where everyone is coming up with the $3.95 price. Overall pretty dissapointed.
Rudy's is better and I dont think its all that great. Tony jacals although a sit down is hands down better and Las Olas down the street has a lunch special that is only $6.
I tried it b/c of all these reviews and I am very dissapointed
Roberto's can get busy during the lunch hour, and ofen there's a line outside the door, but it's well worth the wait. The carne asada burrito's are my favorite, for $3.95 you get a great burrito, perfectly marinated beef and a bit of onion and guacamole. Unlike some burrito's that you may find in other parts of the country, this taco shop has it right, no rice or beans or extra fillers, what you get in every bite is delicious. The fish burrito ($3.15) is very crispy and is quite tasty in itself. There's no place to eat inside, but plenty of outdoor seating from which you can view the ocean and the wildlife preserve right across the street.
The best thing about Roberto's Mexican Food is that is open 24 hrs,
its fast service and that for $3.95 you get a burrito so big you can't finish it
The perfect place to stop to pick up something to eat after hours is
Roberto's, any time its drive through is always open.
With Roberto's fast service, it's the right place to get your food quick,
without any delays so you can continue your bussy schedule when time
its what matters.
Finally the best of all its that $3.95 will get you the best burrito in San
Diego county not anly delicious, but so big you can not finish it yourself.
This is why I think Roberto,s has the best, good, afforable food and I
do not stand by my self, I was in the Marines stationed in Camp Pendleton,
just ask any marine, station in CA,about burritos of Roberto's and I bet you they will tell you the same I just said.
they are so bussy that sometimes it takes them a while to clean the tables and floors. but aside from that, i can't say anything negative about them. their burrito's so good, the best i've tasted, the serviceis quick and the most important thing, you get the most for your money.....
If there was ever a greasy spoon with a south of the border fan fare this is it. I have been all over this great country of ours, and even made more then one adventerous trip south in the Mexico, but the burrito stands here in So Cal are the reasons I keep moving back.
