Alborz Restaurant, San Diego

My wife and I stopped by Alborz last night and had a really nice dinner. She really enjoyed the food and she loved the feel of the restaurant. It's really nice and clean inside which made us feel like we were having an elegant dinner. I can't wait to eat here again.

If you go there and are unhappy with the quality of your food, don't even try to complain to the manager cause you'll be confronted with such a rude behavior that you haven't seen before! the service is terrible and the food is overpriced for the quality you receive. try other Persian or Greek restaurants in town and you'll be much happier.

They've spent alot of money on making the place look spiffy and chic, but I wish they would've paid more attention to the cuisine. Alborz is a beautifully decorated restaurant with a high end feel to it, but the food entrees are not much to speak for! Compared to other Persian restaurants in San Diego, Alborz's food is at the bottom of the list. The attention to detail is missing in the preparation of the food. The entrees are smothered in butter to hide an otherwise lack of culinary skill. This place could use a new chef to turn itself around. Try out Sadaf, Bandar or Parsian International market & see for yourself the difference between good Persian food and sub-standard fare.

terrific food!! I think this is one of the best places to eat persian food in san diego. The prices are semi-decent. It's worth every dime! The only thing i have to say negative about the place is the owners (man and wife) are soooo nice to your face but the second they walk away they talk bad behind your back. Who cares they are just too faced jerks. The waiters are friendly and the food is terrific that is all that maters.

Excellent Persian food, some of the best in San Diego.

Ive been going here for 8 years or so...since they opened. The food is exceptional...the portions are humungous...and still the best quality. I dine at the best restaurants and Alborz is one of my favorites....try the chicken kabobs or slouvaki...(i get a combination...on beef one chicken skewer). Great service and outstanding ownership!

If you like traditional Persian food in the North County. This is the place to go! Try Sultani's combo (Lamb and Steak kebab) with Basmati rice.

The food is always fresh and delicious. They've got one of the best house soups I've had in San Diego or anywhere else.
