The food is unremarkable and over priced. The drinks are watered done and not worth the effort.
It looks nice with the outdoor seating and fire pits, but that is about it. It survives on tourists because the locals know better.
Horrible food, horrible service. 45 mins for our meal, waiter never refilled drinoks and another 15 mins to get our check. Manager was nice enough, took our name and number to talk to his boss , never heard back. Don t care though, won t be back.
It seems like there were a lot of positive reviews Fidel's in the past. If it ever was a good restaurant, it sure isn't now. I took some out-of-town friends to dinner at Fidel's based on recommendations. I ended up having to apologize to them afterward for such a bad decision. It was very embarrassing. Avoid this place - there are much better options.
We've been going to Fidel's for at least fifteen years. They have the best carnitas on either side of the border. Happy hour margaritas and appitizers are great deal. Sit outside on the patio, sip a margarita, and after dinner take a walk along the blvd or just sit on a bench and watch the sun set.
