Alpine Inn, Alpine

Went to the Alpine Inn last night. I must say their prime rib is one of the best I have ever eaten. Service was great and the place was packed, just like in the old days!

Haven't been to the Alpine Inn for a year or two. My boyfriend & I went for Happy hour and the food was excellent. My boyfriend had rib & fries and I had fish tacos and calamari. The happy hour prices were very reasonable. We will be back!!!!

We also spent Mother's Day at the Alpine Inn, but our experience was far different. The food was excellent. The prime rib was awesome and they had crab legs and shrimp. My mother had ham and said it was great. I had an omlette from the omlette bar and it was freshly made and very good. I have not been to the Alpine Inn for a year or two, but the place was great. I think the Mother's Day price was $32.95, which is what you would expect on Mother's Day and with crab, shrimp & prime rib and champagne and Bloody Marys. My family owns a restaurant in Maine and I think the Alpine Inn did a great job on Mother's Day!!

My family went there for Mother's Day since my mother-in-law wanted to go there. She remembered this being a great place back in the old days, but not anymore. As soon as we walked in they told us about their brunch buffet and it sounded great. But when we looked at the food it was still breakfast items at 2:30p.m. Everything was in warming pans. You can tell they cooked everything hours ago. The bacon was so crisp I couldn't even eat it. I couldn't even cut some of the waffles since it was too hard (over cooked). I couldn't believe I was eating a bad breakfast meal at 2:30 p.m. in what appeared to be a fancy restuarant by their table decorations. The shrimp or meat was nothing special. I couldn't of eaten better at Denny's! The worst part was that none of us ever saw a memo and didn't even ask how much the buffet was. I guess we all assumed the buffer was around 10-15 dollars. But we were so wrong! Adults were $34.00 and kids were $18.00! Our mouths dropped to the floor. They even charged $18.00 for my 2 yr old who only eat watermellon. I will never go back here again and will tell everyone to stay far away from this place. High prices, bad food!

We also ate at the Alpine Inn on Valentine's day. We waited maybe 10 minutes for our table, which was ok for a very busy night. The food was great my husband had the porterhouse steak and I had the swordfish. The service was excellent and I thought the staff did a good job for being so busy. We will be back!!!

Bartender was totally obnoxious, ordered a beer and got it and waited for her to take food order but it never happened. Wouldn’t waste my time there again.

I’ve been going to the Alpine Inn for many years, I’ve never had a bad meal there and the service has always been attentive. However, the décor was definitely “dated” and the interior always seemed a bit dark. Too my surprise when we went there two weeks ago the restaurant had been remodeled last March and what a difference it made to the overall experience. The food was as good as always as was the service. Will be heading back there more often.
