Wahib's-Middle East Restaurant
The Greek scenes painted on the walls, coupled with the restaurant's pretty white tablecloths, create a pleasant atmosphere in this little place called Wahib's Middle East Restaurant . Whether you want to drop in for a Mediterranean-style breakfast or a meal served later on in the day, you won't be disappointed. Consider ordering one of the excellent lamb entrees or vegetarian dishes. Some diners come here just for the Lebanese sushi or the sauteed frog legs. You will also see people who like the sauteed lamb brain and other Middle Eastern specialties. This restaurant also serves lamb liver raw or sauteed.
I have been to this restaurent few times, their service is excellent their Meza is great Homus Tabouleh Fatouch salad Moutabel Falafel and Foul i was their few days ago and they are very generous they brought refill on some of the meza plates at no charge nice clean place you fill welcome and enjoy their home made food, very reasonabelely priced.
wow they have been around forever ..i like the chicken and steak sandwiches... wow lots of marinated meat in there bread . its huge enough for two and the price is aprox 6$. i would recomend the sadwich for lunch/dinner. i ask for hummus on the sandwich its even better...
Those of you rating 5/5 have NO IDEA what real middle eastern food should taste like. I just had lunch here, two chicken kabobs and ground beef kabobs. The chicken tasted burned with absolutely no taste of condiments; tasted just plain and lame. The ground beef was OK but not enough to satisfy my craving and not enough to make me get over the chicken. The rice, wow seems to be cheap basmati rice, matter of fact I think they use boxed rice. The pinto beans? Jesus... is that a Lebanese thing? Certainly stands the heck out, El Pollo Loco have better pinto beans anyhow. The hummus is mediocre, I could make better hummus. The only side I enjoyed was the tabouli salad, tasted fresh, tasted the herb with abundance (forgot the name of it), had everything....wheat, tomato, lemon, etc. Oh, the pita is fresh and all, yeah...not bad.
Overall however, I rather drive to Glendale to Raffi's or I think even Fast-food Zankou is better then this place. I certainly would not recommend this place to friends, I don't want to embarrass myself. This is an honest and neutral review, not biased whatsoever.
Look up Shiraz, Hookah Inn, Rice, or Kabobji in Miami, Florida for superior Middle Eastern food.
WAHIB'S IS THE BEST MIDDLE EASTERN RESTAURANT IN CALIFORNIA!!! HANDS DOWN!!! Hookah, Kebab, Pilaf, Roast, Lamb... Relaxed & Enjoyable atmoshere. I'm there every Friday night having fun, eating good food, and having good times with good people. Its always a good experience!
The worst customer service ever, very disorganized group of waiters, you place an order and most of the time you get what the chef want to do, not what the customer want.
If you are with 5 people and you order for three people with a specific price, the resturant will add extra dollars without asking for your permission first and then they argue with you why is a different price...Especially that idiot moody waiter name Samir. They are just lucky to have a business, they have zero standard and waiters always argue infront of customers...they make you feel guilty eating there, is like you own them some thing, if you have a midleeastern friend when you go there, do not allow them to order for you, they treat their own people like crap
Went with a group of 5 and left FULL, DELIGHTED and NOT BROKE. I have been to lots of Mediterranean restaurants all over the country and this is by far one of the most enjoyable. Everyone loved it and we left with extra food. I was just thinking about this place because we are going tonight.
My boyfriend and I frequently go to Wahib's. With him beeing asian and me european we are always open for a different cuisine. Wahib's menue offers delicious choises and has a flavor for everyone. If you need a picker upper you will love the turkish coffee, smothe and strong. The service is excellent. Don't be afraid to ask what is what on the menue, everyone is more than happy to explain.
