Karina's Mexican Seafood Csn, Chula Vista

Awesomely delectable! Waiting staff might be showing a little too much with the short skirts but once you see and taste the food the staff could be nude models (male or female) and you will not notice. Staff is super friendly and very helpful with the menu a must go to spot for mexican seafood!

I went to this restaurant for the first time, and I have to say that I was disappointed, not because of the food, but because of the service. I am quadriplegic and my mom I struggled just to get through the door, the dumb waitresses just stood around looking at me and my mom try to get through the door, they're so stupid that they didn't have common sense to hold the door to make it easier on us, it's obvious the reason why they're there cause of the way they're dressed, but that doesn't bother me, it bothered me that they didn't help us at all. When we were eating they didn't even come around to see how we were doing, obviously cause we are not men, or else I'm sure they'd would've been all over us, we waited so long for our check that we had to go to the register so we could leave. So the food is great no problem there, if you're a man you will get attention, but if your in a wheelchair and you're a woman, good luck. So needless to say I will no go that restaurant ever again.

I have many fond memories of sitting outside under the Palm Umbrellas on a warm summer day wearing a t-shirt, shorts, and flip flops with a bucket of Pacifico's, a Campechana cocktail, some chips and salsa and a couple friends enjoying the atmosphere and the occasional breeze. Does this sound like the place you want to take your kids? LOL! I'm getting off track here:) The Seafood here is excellent, it will cost you but excellent quality always does. The Cocktails (Campechana, Shrimp) are delicious, the ceviches are delectable. The molcajetes and charbroiled stuffed jumbo clams as well as the Turtle stew are heaven on earth. One of my buddys always orders the 7 Seas Soup and if he could, he'd probably swim in it:) Like a couple here have stated, the Shrimp Burrito with the Karina's special sauce is scrumptious! Most likely their biggest seller. I can't think of a Seafood dish I tried here that wasn't done superbly. Karina's special sauce needs to be patented, bottled, and sold at stores. Thats how unique it is. Karinas salsa is pretty much my barometer for how good any other mexican joints salsa is, and I cant remember any which were better.

I used to go to Karina's every time I visited San Diego. Unfortunately, I haven't been back for several years ... ever since I stopped working for an airline and flying was cheap. I used to fly there JUST for Karina's Shrimp Burritos. They were The BEST! I'm sorry my insight is so out of date, but I'm willing to bet that they still make the best shrimp burritos this side of Heaven!

Try the shrimp with Karinas special sauce.

This is a great place to eat. This is has one of my favorite sea foods ceviche! My roommate had been taking about this place ever since last year when he went to visit his family. He was right the food is really good. The shrimp burrito with Karinas sauce is delicious. I can't wait to go back!!!
